    Yesterday was a very good day for the Tigers. The stage is set for 2011 and we are on our way to another great recruiting class. I just wish all the neysayers were here to discuss how much Miles is hurting our recruiting, because of his poor coaching. The program is most definately headed in the wrong direction. Ok, sure. {sarcasim}

    When all is said and done the 2011 class might be the best to ever come out of Louisiana. I dont quite remember the year or all the studs but James, Faulk, Davis, Toefield, Reed, etc were a pretty special class as well.

    That being said, the 2011 class is shooting out of the gate like no other class before and could end up as the top tiger class ever, the LA talent in the 2011 claa is going to be sick.

    I talked to Coach Minton earlier in the month when it was announced that Kenny got the Gatorade award. This was right when Wilson's name started coming up as a possible LSU hire. He told me then (didn't post it because I felt like I'd be betraying his trust) that he thought if we got Wilson, Kenny would commit pretty quickly. Besides the obvious on-the-field talent he brings, he will be a huge positive influence in the locker room. I don't know that he'll be an influence in recruiting the way Shepard was, but he is a very humble, down to earth person, and a serious student-athlete. In every way, a huge "get" for Miles and co.

    That was a nice article. Also said:

    --“LSU is always where (Hilliard) wanted to go,” Minton said. “But he’s really been impressed with the couple of times he talked to coach Wilson.”

    --Coach Wilson was watching in the stands when Hilliard and his high school basketball team played their final game in the Lumberjack Invitational.

    --Hilliard won the Louisiana 3A Offensive MVP as both a sophomore and junior. Would make it three times if wins it again as a senior.

    --Hilliard was first-team 3A All-State as a freshman, sophomore, and junior. He'll be 4-time All-State if he wins it again as a senior

    --Hilliard has a 3.18 grade-point average

    --Hilliard is vice president of his junior class this year (student council)

    --He has volunteered with the Special Olympics and donated his time to a literacy-outreach program for local elementary school students.

    I also didn't know that both Dalton and Ike Hilliard were both from Patterson, LA -- just like Kenny.

    Is Kenny's mother the sister of Dalton Hilliard? Or is it Kenny's father who is Dalton's brother?
