Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits That is a way better title. I am pumped but was in the middle of a few things and wanted to get it out to the board asap. This is the kind of commitment which could set the standard for the rest of the state and top out of state prospects who are thinking about coming to LSU. This day sent a message to everyone. Miles sent out 42 offers earlier than ever to match and even surpass the efforts of other programs around the country and the week before a quiet and dead periods he unloads Wilson and staff. :geaux:
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits Hi new to the forum..How many stars is kenny hilliard expected to receive and where does he rank among the best backs in the nation?
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits No lower than a very high 4* IMO across all the rating services. The 5* are fewer in the beginning of the year but I think he could be a 5 especially later in the year when the # of 5* prospect increase and he shows his stuff on the national stage in his senior year. Maybe he has a chance to start out as a 5* as well, I think he should. Here are his Sophomore highlights:
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits Wow. That's incredible. Thanks again for the heads up Bhelm. What a nice way to start the weekend......and the 2011 class for that matter! :thumb::thumb:
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits OH, HELL YEAH!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!! From Sports Illusrtated: Kenny Hilliard, 17 years old, Running Back (Patterson, La.) Achievements: The 6-foot, 221-pound junior at Patterson High rushed for 2,377 yards and 34 touchdowns on 256 carries last season and was named National Sophomore of the Year by EA Sports. He's on pace to break the state records for yardage and TDs midway through his senior season. Football runs in the family: His uncle Dalton was a running back for the Saints for eight years and his cousin Ike, a wide receiver with the Buccaneers, finished his 12th NFL season in 2008. Next step: Kenny has offers from LSU, Alabama, Minnesota, Tennessee and Texas A&M on the table. For now, he's concentrating on ways he can improve--especially as a receiver out of the backfield.
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits Wow, what an amazing week for LSU recruiting. Nice pickup! I'm drooling at the amount of talent we will have in the 2011 class.
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits bhelm, THANKS for keeping us posted on this, from what you guys have said over the last year, this is a HUGE GET for !!! This seems like the best set of commits at this stage of the year, for the NEXT years recruiting class, that I can remember. I know there is a trend to accelerate the process by all schools, but the quality I have heard about for LSU is still impressive. There is no reason we can't contend to finish in the top 10 each year with this recruiting success. We still need to take a QB each year, coaches remember that so there are no experience gaps like the last 2 years. JohnLSU, thanks for the great picks and the writeup! This starts off a good weekend of LSU news! Now we just gotta whip them Nittany Lions!!! :geaux:
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits Well, I am sure we want Lache but at least LSU now has some guys to work with... the situation at RB was looking kind of desperate a few weeks ago... now long-term it setup fairly nicely - Ridley JR - Ford RS FS - Murphy(?) MED JR/SR - Calhoun - did he play on Special teams this year? Either RS FS/So. - Ware(2010) - Blue (2010) - Gore (2010) - Hill(2011) - Hillard (2011) Lache seems more like a prize now instead something you need. Good job here. Murphy looks like the odd man out especially with Shepard on the roster.
Re: Kenny Hilliard Commits to LSfreakingU!!! Ok, now that we have the 2011 class wrapped up, we need to start working on 2012. :milesmic:
