Seriously. A off night for him is still carrying his team to a victory. Kid is a beast. This dude is the entire Patterson team and the reason the game was close was because he wasn't having his typical all world performance. Yet, they still won largely because of him...

I'm tired of people saying this guy is too slow too. I agree, he may be too big right now but he has good lateral movement, especially for someone that big. Lateral movement>speed for a RB. I don't know why anyone expected him to bust 80 yard runs, he isn't that type of back...

KH might be around 240 I've heard. But he is all muscle, not fat. IMO, I could see him in a hybrid role at LSU as a FB/RB. Much like they used Hester and have used Ridley in some packages. I think he will be too good to keep the ball out of his hands though. He often carries several players on his back...literally.

I could definitely see the Hester role in his future.

140 yards on 19 carries (7.4 ypc) is unimpressive? Well, when you're Kenny Hilliard, I'd have to say izzy's right. Here's to 4 years of that kind of unimpressive in purple and gold.

KH has played much more defense this season than ever before. That and the ankle injury have definitely taken some of the luster off him this year. I look for him to be the guy everyone thought he was by the time he gets to LSU.

He seems to be a lot like Ridley as a runner, won't ever break away but will run over you.

A little like Ridley but Hilliard is amazingly a little more shifty in the holes. He has a similar hip shift that Kevin Faulk used to have but not as dramatic as Kevin. Hilliard has a nice stiff arm that I wish I saw Ridley use more.

Hilliard actually breaks away often especially before the ankle injury. Doing it on the next level obviously will be much harder at his size.

He dropped big time in the Scout rankings all the way to 194.

I have a question about Hilliard maybe some of you can comment on. I don't have first hand evidence or anything, but it seems being the star running back for four years has worn a little on Hilliard. I know he played hurt for most of his senior season.

What I am thinking is the kid is just tired and beaten down, and maybe a redshirt year could get him back to top form? I know he has a ton of talent, and probably can still play right now without a year off, but do you think he will redshirt? I think he should, especially with all of the young talent we already have in the stables. I think trying to get him on the field his true freshman year could stunt his growth.

    Anyone think I'm just crazy?

He could play but I think he will take a redshirt year to mold his body a little more. We won't use him unless we have some depth concerns due to injury.

Got word he wasn't in class today. I thought it was a rumor and then DP confirmed it. Minor clearinghouse issues, they should be solved in a week though.
