Shouldn't be a problem. 2theadvocate.com | Prep Sports | Hilliard named La. Gatorade Player of Year — Baton Rouge, LA
Despite the ankle injury that has been nagging him all season he is only about 385 yards away from being the all-time leading rusher in LA history. (That means 1335 yards for the season to break the record) Also he is down from 250 to 227lbs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but yards gained in the playoffs count, right? He sat out last week to rest the ankle, but he's set to start tonight. They play West St. Mary tonight and Berwick next week. Last year, I'd have said he breaks the record easily next week, but he hasn't had the big 200+ nights this season the way he's had them in the past. He might need the first playoff game to get there. Who holds the record, btw? And is the state record book on-line somewhere?
Playoffs count... I think he will need to playoffs too with the ankle slowing him down a ton this year. I couldn't find a state record book online last time I checked but the current record holder is Germaine Williams, who played at LSU and finished his career with 8,048 yards at Acsension Catholic.
