It was great to see them finally get this one set up. They'd been working on it most of the summer, and last I heard (some time in July), it had fallen through because one of the teams that was going to have to pick up a new game that week was being difficult. But this should be a great matchup, Hilliard vs. Hill on a fast track (Nicholls has FieldTurf). I hope the ESPN announcer crew spends the entire night reminding the nation that those two guys are LSU commitments.
I was watching some film of the game and really pleased with the Catholic D swarming the ball. Hill is going to break a bunch of big ones this year. A workhorse who will catch the defense sleeping. I was disappointed that Catholic didn't punch it in before the end of the 1st half and with our kicker. But everyone thought RHS would run away with this one but same ole CHS vs RHS jamboree.
Po' Northside Catholics vs. Rich Southside Catholics. Same as it ever was. I see we're #2 in the state in 3A, aren't y'all #5 in 5A? Stop doggin' your team! :hihi:
Not doggin them in the least. I don't remember RHS ever beating CHS in the Jamboree but can't say for sure. At least not when my brother or I went there. But RHS is loaded and CHS looks very small compared to any year I remember and all the recruiting guys on the boards were saying CHS would get stomped, etc... Not the case and they still have a swarming defense.

check out his senior year film: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQJ196X1U8Y&sns=em]Jeremy Hill Senior Highlights - YouTube[/ame] he reminds me of Anthony Thomas of Winnfield, LA, who went to Michigan, broke all their school rushing records, was selected in the early 2nd round of the 2001 draft, and had himself a couple 1,000-yard rushing seasons in the NFL I'm excited he's at LSU
He's got some wheels. I hope he's kept himself in shape. Also, on a few of those runs, he's dangerously close to attitude that would draw the unsportsmanlike conduct call in college. He'll have to learn to tone it down.
In class yesterday and looks to be over the 230lb range. Talk about a 1-2 punch........Hilliard and Hill, ok 1-2-3 with Ford. I see some hurting next season.
Question is, how effective can he be at that weight? Hilliard's playing 25 pounds over his high school playing weight, but he plays a power game to begin with. From the highlights, Hill seems to be more of a slasher/speed runner.
I don't know, I was expecting worse when I read your comment. THere were only 2 TD runs that you could say that, and it really wasn't too bad. Don't think that would be unsportsmanlike flags even in college.
