Yep just cancelled. I would take that as he must like the new hire at UM and staying put. Louisville would be the sleeper IMO.
I don't see it, and really don't see the need for it. I can't see three QBs in this class. Mett and Rivers this year, then maybe two next year. But not 3 this year. Too few schollies available, especially with losing two more. Use it on a LB.
I don't see it either, and in fact see it as more proof we are returning to our bread and butter the Power I. Rivers and Mett are both Pro style QB's. Dak proved he could be one as well. I don't see the staff pushing for a dual threat QB this year other than Dak, and that ship sailed.
Don't see it either but Teddy B was actually a Pro Style QB more than Dual Threat he just has the ability to run but doesnt
I heard he ruled out Auburn because he didn't want to be known as Teddy Bridgeovertroubledwater !!! :yelwink2:
Wow, thats a shame. I'm generally underwhelmed by most HS quarterback prospects that a lot of other fans fawn over. With most HS quarterbacks, even the highly rated ones, you see a guy who has a cannon for an arm, or a guy whose team passes 90% of the time, but who has WR's that are big enough or good enough that he can just chunk the ball up and they'll come down with it. Most of them throw ONLY to their primary WR, or maybe to a back coming out of the backfield. There are lots of guys out there who are talented and have the skill sets to make good plays, but it seems like when you watch many of them, they don't have that innate and comprehensive understanding of the game. Bridgewater is one of the few that I was REALLY impressed with because you can see that with him. He understands the game. He know his plays and how and why they run them against the defense. He makes correct decisions quickly on the field. He has a great arm, makes great reads, has the strength and accuracy on the long ball, but can zip in a short pass and even had great touch when he needs it. He has good pocket awareness, excellent mobility, and while alot of people are calling him a Dual Threat QB and there's no doubt that he has some moves when running the ball, I think he would make an excellent pocket passer who just has the ability to make time with his feet for his WR's to get open, but also be an occasional scrambling threat / wildcat / option QB. I think that LSU is really going to regret not putting the full court press on this kid when it became clear that he was not going to stick with Miami. C'mon, Louisville?!!?!? There's no reason that we couldn't have pulled him. He's gonna be special, and he could have been a superstar as a Tiger.
