Heated, as in they think there is a significant chance that we may grab him out from under their noses? How do you think the Dak Prescott offer affects this situation? Does Prescott commit quickly and we lose our chance with Bridgewater? Its seeming like we may have been a bit hasty offering Rivers so early, although he may end up being the spitting image of his brother out there and be the savior of LSU's QB concerns for years to come ( after Mettenberger, of course ) Bhelm, what do you think is the ideal QB take for LSU this season? Mettenberger, Rivers, Bridgewater? ..........and then, what do you think will ACTUALLY happen? Mettenberger, Prescott, Rivers?
I don't think LSU can afford to wait on something to happen with Teddy given out QB situation and offering Dak covers our bases considering he will be enrolled in January. But I don't think Dak is a given to switch his commit to LSU however we would know where we stand earlier. Dak and Teddy are similar athletes (Teddy is slightly more athletic IMO) There has been some rumors that LSU and Lee might part ways but not sure how true those rumors are. I doubt them a little. But say he did leave, Dak and Mett coming in early would be the ideal situation along with Rivers taking a greyshirt. If he the rumor is just a rumor, I personally would like Mett coming in early, Teddy or Dak wanting the redshirt, and Rivers taking a greyshirt. I feel like it will be Mett and Dak with Rivers possibly taking the greyshirt. If no greyshirt then we take 2 big time QBs next year. If Rivers greyshirts we take get one big time QB and maybe a local guy who needs time in the system to provide a filler in the future depth chart.
We must be out of it completely with Brissett. Wouldn't be surprised to be honest, he never seemed overly interested, despite rumors.
CaneSports is reporting he decommitted from Miami. They have lost a bunch in the last week. Hasn't ruled out Miami and not going to commit anywhere anytime soon.
More rumors and people making wild assumptions with this kid than I have seen. Someone setup a fake twitter account and said he committed to LSU and then a minute later committed to Miami. I hear Mike S bit and sent a text out. :hihi:
