:geaux: I think what gets folks so wound up about Ely is the whole 'Bama/Saban deal, 'cause it appears they just came out of the blue and snapped him up. That just pisses some people off 'cause they feel 'Bama "stole" Ely from LSU. I don't feel that way and I'm pretty happy with Rivers and look forward to seeing how he develops. Only time will tell how the two compare and how successful they are. I just feel like since Ely committed to 'Bama that folks need to quit bitchin' & whinin' about it and move on. It's cause they did get a hell of a QB. He's a 4* QB and an elite player nationally this year. We wanted him but we're looking in a different direction now.

Who cares, he is either a Tiger or Tiger bait!!! Ely is a gump, until he plays against the Tigers he is irrelevant.
Being in the top six pro-style QBs in the nation.. let's just say that puts him at the top. He's no Barkley but he's very good.
