Bhelm, are you hearing the same thing as LSUMASTERMIND? This is pissing me off so bad right now. It seems like Bama offered just to keep us from getting him today. I hate SABAN!

Read the article from ESPN that Bhelm posted in Rivers' thread, you'll like him even more I predict :thumb:

You know what is that is remotely true, why would we have even wanted this kid. If all he wanted was an offer from Bama (Which would be true because he dropped everything for Bama) then he never really wanted to be a Tiger in the first place...... Which is actually fine....

If he doesnt come here, who cares. With Rivers and Lee (assuming he stays) I think we are O.K. and you never know what February brings.

But frankly an 18 year old (Remember that guys) that changes everything at the drop of a hat for Bama. Well never really was serious about coming here in the first place....

Ely likes LSU but just not as much as UF, ND, and Bama. Ely visited Bama and Saban told him he might get an offer and it looks like he did offer.

Hearing right now that Bama is likely the destination. But they will have to hope that UF or ND doesn't come calling because that could change things.

Ole Miss is the sleeper pick today but I don't see it. I think it is either Bama or he doesn't announce today.

Just for the record, I don't have a good feel on this one. Some bama fans are saying the rumor has legs and others are saying it is not happening. Finebaum and Rivals are already saying he is committed to Bama, etc... Others are saying Ole Miss, etc... A lot of speculation than most and that is because he is not talking and hopefully we can get this over with today.

I am pretty confident it won't be LSU so that is all that really matters.

Look for LSU to target a duel threat QB now that they have Rivers. If they miss out and with Lee staying, I would guess LSU will be done. Dak Prescott and Cardale Jones could be options to fill that role.

People, please settle down. So the kid decided not to play here (assuming that is the case) big deal. This is as big a gamble as taking a QB in the first round of the NFL draft. Getting pissed at lil nicky just plays right into the hands of those who say we won't let go. I haven't heard a whole lot about this ely kid other than on this board so I doubt that he is the second coming of Dan Marino. I'm confident that we will get the QB we need and make PE regret his decision for Saturdays to come.
