Interesting. Florida offered Brissette a grayshirt. I'd hate to run Rivers off and I can't see why he would take a grayshirt when he could get a full ride to NC State.
Really don't see us landing this guy. I don't really know what to think of him personally. He is a very good athlete but he seems to toss it up to o'leary a lot... Also, you have to question his passion for Football. His love is Basketball from what I gather.
I trust Bhelm on this one and I think we have him in the bag. He made a mistake at 18 years old. Think back when you were a hormone filled 18 year old kid. He did the right thing and went the jc route to build back up his rep. Unless I'm mistaken, he's never played basketball at the collegiate level? Chad Jones loved baseball, but he turned into a heck of a football player for us.
He was talking about Brissett and has a valid argument. Brissett would be a surprise commitment here but we are in the picture. Landing Maggitt would need to happen 1st if we really want to land him.
Great point Bhelm....I read an article somewhere ...can't remember where now, about the three of them after the came to the bama game on there visit....they talked about how they were all so impressed.....this was the High school coach saying this now.....and that all 3 of them moved LSU into their top 3.
We need to keep Rivers, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bushes. If I was Coach Miles I would tell Rivers LSU will not hurt him at all when it is recruiting QBs in this year class. I would take Mettenberger and stop at two for this years class.
:geaux: I'd be happy with Mettenberger & Rivers as the two QB's in this class. :thumb: With numbers being a bit tight this year, I'd think two QB's would be fine for the '10 class and go for another two in next years class. :LSU231:
