Haven't really looked into the 2011 Juco guys yet and I am not even sure if we could take Mettenberger before or after this season. Is there any rules about taking a JUCO guy after his 1st year given Mettenberger was qualified by the NCAA the 1st time around? And would he have to sit if he could leave JUCO after a year?
Here is some of his info: 4* out of West Palm Beach who has narrowed his list down to LSU, FSU, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Wisconsin, USF, and South Carolina. He did not participate in any school camps and concentrated on AAU basketball most of the summer. Could be a nice complement to Rivers but he is not really considered a duel threat even though he has some wheels. Jacoby Brissett Looking at LSU's current Qb Depth it appears to me we are need of another Qb for the 2011 class...Jacoby Brissett has Lsu ranked high on his list of possible choices..and LSU has apparently made an offer...does anyone know where we stand, and how aggresively we a recruiting him...does he have any scheduled visits this season?
I merged the threads. See above for some background info. LSU has been recruiting him for a while now and some rumblings that it could be down to UNC and LSU but not confirmed by Jacoby. Not sure on the scheduled visits.
We are in the picture and he was very impressed with everything. Those 3 keep it pretty close to the vest and have a more business like attitude about the recruiting process. He has a lot of visits left but we have the playing time to offer and the type of offense he is comfortable with to keep us in it until the end IMO.
