Great pickup with Sproles..waiting to see what the contract details are because I thought we could've brought in Noel Devine for great value
it's being reported that the Saints got FS Jonathon Amaya from Miami as part of the Bush deal he was #1 on the Dolphins with 15 special team tackles last year he came out of college (Nevada) in time for the 2010 Draft, but wasn't drafted, although some had him projected as high as 5th Round at his 2010 pro day, he ran a 4.43 forty at 6-1, 203 but wasn't very strong, only being able to do 8 reps in the 225 bench press
Saints sign RB C.J. Gable out of USC coming out of high school he was a Parade All-American, Rivals100 (#23), Rivals 5-star (#3 ATH with a verified 4.6 forty), ESPN150 (#52), Scout 5-star at USC he had 1,549 career rushing yards on 308 attempts (5.0 YPC) and 1,196 career yards on 51 kickoff returns (23.5 avg) at his pro day he ran a 4.58 forty at 5-11, 212 and did 22 reps in the 225 bench press
another reason this guy didn't get drafted: "McDaniel carried a third or fourth round value in the April draft, but a wrist injury (broken scaphoid bone) torpedoed his draft stock. ... McDaniel also has some maturity questions and a domestic violence arrest in his past."
Saints sign CB/FS Josh Gatlin out of North Dakota State, who some had as high as 6th Round. at his pro day he ran a 4.38 forty at 6-1, 196 (was only able to do 8 reps in the 225 bench press) Gil Brandt, NFL.com:
Saints sign OLB Dwight Roberson out of Oregon State (6-0, 224). Pac-10 Conference Honorable Mention (coaches) last year and led the team in tackles with 88, and had 216 career tackles at Oregon State. only ran a 4.71 forty at his pro day and only did 19 reps in the 225 bench press. most likely a camp body, but good luck to him
