Sproles is a super great pickup and the safety from Miami may be an up and comer, but a lot of the undrafted FA's look like camp bodies. Maybe one or two of them will stick as projects. I'd still like to see a top notch LB and another pass rushing DL/DE.
So would I. Defense, not offense has been our weakness. Hopefully Casillas will live up to the potential the coaches see in him and help solidify at least one OLB spot. What is it with LSU and the Saints, the LB position always seems like a challenge. At least we have Vilma.
Hopefully Cameron Jordan will sign today. There's a few first round picks who have yet to sign (including a few DEs) and they're all clustered together. The dominoes should start falling and a deal may get done today. I like we we're doing on the line just a little worried about the depth. Hopefully additional height and speed (on the line) will help the secondary increase turnovers like the '09 season. I would love to add a stud linebacker (so would the other 31 teams) but I think this group can be pretty good. If nothing else an improved line and a strong secondary should make these guys look pretty decent. I just hope we can remain healthy so Williams can have unlimited options. There are teams with more talent on defense but I think Williams can do more with less. He's finally molded this team to his liking so I'm hoping for big things this season.
Signed Fabian Washington, free agent safety from the Ravens. He sounds excited to be coming here. Sounds good.
