Well, since you made a reference to Liz Taylor and Mickey Rooney, that's not surprising. :hihi:

Moore now says he won't visit LSU and we are not in contention.

Now down to USC and Notre Dame.

Are we feeling great about Myles? Hmmmmmm.......

:geaux: Bummer man!:( I was hoping this kid would be a late in process surprise pickup. Guess he was a long shot anyway, but it would have been nice. :LSU231:

Re: S Byron Moore NO LONGER CONSIDERING LSU

I think we are done at safety now because I don't see Myles ending up at LSU. We have Reid and Vinson waiting to become Tigers in 2010.

Use the spot for another position.

We could have Reid in the bag within weeks to be honest, he's all LSU.

I think Moore had to do more with numbers and that someone LSU feels good about that they didn't think they'd get...

Maybe the TR rumors are becoming real.

What happened with this kid? One day, he decommits from USC and we're all of the sudden in his top 2/3 and he's coming in for a visit.

Then, we're no longer being considered?

    What did I miss?

The prevailing opinion is that we told him we didn't have room for him.

Do we feel great about Myles? Do we not want another safety?

I guess these questions will be answered at some point.

Don't put words in my mouth. I didn't say we didn't want want him, numbers probably came down to the problem. Difference between not wanting him and not offering him because of a numbers game, likely because LSU got someone they didn't expect/feel good about someone. He never had a offer from LSU to begin with, that is what I understand.

Using common sense, if LSU told him we weren't going to have room for him, apparently they got a commit from someone they didn't expect or got a good vibe from someone(TR), right? Had this not happened(maybe something is going on with Myles), the staff would likely have offered him and accepted him on his visit if he committed...that is, if people higher on their board weren't likely coming here...
