2011 LSU Football Schedule - Record: 0-0DateOpponentTime/TVW/LScoreSep. 3OregonTBA (ESPN/ABC)- I think we will have around 50,000 fans at this one and even being a road game we will be the home team. I do fear the Ducks as the opening game and I have great respect for the coaching staff and what they will do to game plan this game. If our D is ready to keep pace and play a base nickel type package that will be ready for the quickness of this team sets and snaps we will get em. Of course that is a big ? but if we control the ball and play what I am sure we will play I think in the 4th quarter a close game will fall to the Tigers. 1-0 -Sep. 10Northwestern St7:00 pm-- enough said: 2-0 Sep. 15@ Mississippi St.6:30 pm (ESPN)-- I am going to this game ! I spent a week in Starkville one weekend. I just don't see the Dogs having the talent this year to hold the Tigers. We have had a couple of very tight games but not this year. 3-0 Sep. 24@ West VirginiaTBA-- Sorry mountain people - you guys have a program going the wrong way and LSU will show up 3-0 and be #1 or #2 in the country. You can't control our running game and what are you going to do to score? 4-0 Oct. 1Kentucky7:00 pm-- This is not basketball ! 5-0 Oct. 8Florida 7:00 pm- Going to enjoy this one - Gators with no urban and no Tebow !!!!!! 6-0 Oct. 15@ TennesseeTBA-- Tenn thinks they have a win coming because of how awful LSU played the Vols in 2010 - this time LSU rolls ! 7-0 and we are #1 in the country pushing the Sooners back Oct. 22Auburn7:00 pm- We already know that Cam was that good ! 8-0 Nov. 5@ AlabamaTBA- I am going to this game and I have no idea who will win ?????????????????? -Nov. 12Western Kentucky7:00 pm- 9-0 ? -Nov. 19@ Ole MissTBA-- Houston we owe you but ?? shaking win for the Tigers 10-0 ? Cliff, how do you expect 50K in Autzen Stadium when your ticket allotment won't even scratch the surface? Then again, there is the minor detail of the stadium in Eugene only seating 54K. There are several games of great interest on your schedule this fall...games I'm not sure which way to lean right now: Oregon, Florida, Bama, and Arkansas. I do believe two teams on your schedule will shock a few teams this year...not particularly LSU—UT and MSU.
? If we WERE playing in Autzen Stadium we wouldn't have that many fans but that is irrelavent seeing as how we are playing in Arlington, TX, Cowboys Stadium. Oregon will have a good offense, but LSU will have a good D as well. Our O-line is veteran and I expect to run the ball up the middle for a while. LSU wins by 10+ Florida has a new coaching staff at they are coming to TS to start. LSU wins 6+ Bama is hard to predict and won't get to cocky, the intangibles will when this game. Whoever has less TOs, Penalties, and ball possession last will win. Arkansas will have a great passing game and good O this will be a tough game as well.
Brain freeze...chit, forgot that. Thanks. I understand confidence going into UF and UO. I do find both games interesting and almost "must see TV" kind of games. I don't know if there has ever been as great of an unknown as how well the new staff at UF will do their first season. It's safe to say Boom is going to be conservative with his game planning and that's one of the primary reasons I see future conflict between him and The Great Weis Whale. Safe to say they'll have a solid defense... That venue seats 80K for the game. FWIW, the allotment last year for the Arkansas vs Texas A&M game was 34,500 for Arkansas...I'll assume the same for A&M.
Yeah, I don't know what to think about Florida this year. I'm in the minority, but I've never thought that Muschamp was made out of top-tier coaching timber.
Red he is a unknown like Jimbo was a unknown running the ship. Jimbo has hit that gold mine running. We shall see what the Gators will do. Urban rode Tebow hard and came out of it all looking like a Billion dollar guy. Watch when he goes to his next Big job if ever. He might smile his way for years at ESPN as being the smartest guy in the room.
I don't think so , CBS 2:30 game is their SEC contract game. Most fans bases like to see CBS come to town but not the LSU Sat Night Live bunch!
