Then who does LSU finish with? I say MJ and Rascoe, with a possible NSD surprise, like Jernigan or Drew. I know there are a couple under the radar prospects, but I don't see it unless we take 3 more and don't get either Jernigan or Drew. You still think Fleming has a shot in this class?
We only have one spot left with Fordham counting in this class and then we have the Hill situation. Some feel Hill is gone and others think a greyshirt until the legal process is finished. Rasco and Fleming IMO. I still see us big in the picture with Jernigan and wouldn't be surprised if he was in this class. Mickey is still an option depending on what the staff has told him. Then Greyshirts... Hollier, maybe Fleming and/or Hill here, QB Foster, Chris Briggs, etc are all options. Probably a few others under the radar. Anyone else would be a complete surprise and likely someone already committed elsewhere if it happened... I don't see Drew in the picture. If we have room at the end of the day I wouldn't be shocked if we went ahead and offered Region. BTW, the staff went to see Fleming again today.
Rasco, another D-lineman (Jernigan or MJohnson) and 2 greyshirts (Fleming and 1 other). Hill ends up greyshirt or offer pulled. That would mean no over signing this year, which is good.
I have to believe CLM and staff know something big with Jernigan to let MJ go. I think this is our Sam Montgomery type surprise on NSD. BTW...everything but letting MJ go tells me Jernigan is all Criminole....so this is gonna be an interesting one. All I know is Freak and Jernigan can plug it for a few years to come!!
Fleming will grey as well....remember that Fordham counts towards this class as well. I believe Fleming has already accepted this.
Dandy Don is reporting that Mickey committed to LSU. Verbatim from his blog: "According to reports, Mickey Johnson (DT, 6'1", 310) from St. Paul's of Covington has committed to LSU."
