At first, I couldn't stand TD. Now, if I have time and am in the right frame of mind, I can sort through the chaff to find the wheat. But it's not like here or TSD or TB, where flamers are few, idiots even fewer, and the boards are fairly closely moderated. Still worth a peek if you got your shrimpin' boots on...
Look what someone named Pastyskankster from TD found on facebook. Mickey Johnson's recruiting blog. This is going to be good. The kid seems to write well and tells his story well. It looks like it might be part of a class assignment. Good work by skankster.:thumb:. Mickey Johnson Recruiting Diary | Facebook
I live in the Greater New Orleans area, and a local Sports Show (news) said that he was very high on LSU. I wish I would have listen more closely, it did not start out about him being a football player. It started out about him as a person and how he was doing in school. I did not put the name together at first Mickey Johnson and football. !twocrystals!
No news here, but I talked to a couple of Saint Paul's students who were friends with Mickey Johnson. They said he's getting lots of attention, enjoying it and is nowhere near making a decision to go anywhere. They said that they saw his facebook page last night and it indicated that he's enjoying the flattery. He obviously has a scholarship offer from LSU no matter what or how long it takes. Like I said...no real scoop, but I thought I'd pass their comments on. It's pretty slow these days.
Been some good signs for LSU as of late. Watched a video from this weekend's Nike Combine and Scout mods are saying LSU is the team to beat. On the video they asked him if he had an idea of where he would end up and he smiled and said yeah but I am not saying anything. Mickey wants to enjoy the process but I do not see him playing it out all the way to NSD if he wants to be a Tiger. He understands that offers are contingent and if he waits too long someone could come along and take his spot. He also seemed to really enjoy the fact that he and Freak Johnson could solidify the interior line for years to come at LSU.
Frank Wilson and other staff members were at his school on Monday checking in with his coaches, etc... We are after him hard, Monday was the start of the evaluation period.
