Don't worry, Miles team will be ready. They have been for every bowl they have been in. Even last yr they were ready, they just couldn't over come a horrible field and a horrible field capt.
All LSU needs to do is sustain drives, and try and keep our defense fresh. If our offense can just help the D out a little, we should win this game easily.
all we have to do is score more points than atm and well have a pretty good chance LSU!:lsup:LSU!:lsup:LSU!:lsup:ldskule::tigerheadldskule::lsup:LSU!:lsup:LSU!:lsup:LSU!
Tiger Sighting in Dallas.... Stuck in traffic late yesterday afternoon going northbound on the Dallas North Tollway. I notice about 8 police cars / bikes with lights flashing going the opposite direction. It reminded me of the times Bush visit when he was president. But this time I see they are giving an escort to 4 black buses. Then I see the subtle LSU flags in the front windows of the buses and I realize that it is my LSU Tigers heading over to Lawry's and the Beef Bowl. :geaux:
3 more days, WOOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bad news is 3 more days till the offseason as well. It is such a bitter sweet time of year. We fight all year to get to this point, our hopes to be in an SECCG, BCS Bowl, or the king of them all the BCSNCG. We debate every aspect of the season, the good, the bad, and the ugly. We criticize and we defend our coaches and players. We spend countless hours thinking about how we are going to beat this team, why we think we will do this or that. We drive ourselves crazy with the want for our damn strong team to go out and dominate every opponent we face. All for it to come to this point, an appearance in the Cotton Bowl, against a formidable and hated foe, ATM. If isn’t the season we were dreaming of, nor the season many would have preferred, but it was, thus far a very solid season, where the Tigers gritted it out, and fought past all of their deficiencies. A season where the coaches and the team came together as a solid unit, and represented LSU, the fans, and the great state of Louisiana with pride and honor. Several of our players have had praise bestowed upon them for their exceptional efforts. The fans, despite the grumblings throughout the season seem to have united, for the most part, to come together with their support and pride in how well the Tigers have done this season. It’s now time, time for this team, these players, and their coaches to go out and fight one more time. One more time as a cohesive unit, as a team with one mission and goal. The desire to finish 1st in the Cotton Bowl. To dominate for 60 minutes a foe which is looking to have a statement win to finish their season. For both teams this is much more than just this game, this is a Century of rivalry being put on the line. For one team, the Tigers, it is the exclamation point to an exciting season, and the redemption of a decade of being dominated by it’s upcoming opponent. For both it is the chance to put a stamp on the others conference to have bragging rights as to who is the strongest conference in the land. A battle that will take place in one of the most amazing venues in the sports world. In front of the entire nation. To display their colors, their pride, and their states. The final curtain to a great and competitive season. To the victor goes the spoils, and to the victor goes the positive feeling during the offseason. To the loser, and offseason filled with doubt, filled with the horrible taste of defeat. Yes, folks it is game week: GEAUX TIGERS!!!!! :geaux: :LSU231: :geaux: :LSU231: :geaux: :LSU231: :geaux: :LSU231: :geaux: :LSU231: :geaux:
Man I can't wait until Friday. It's almost like being a heroin junkie and your dealer telling you that the greatest heroin you ever had, will be available Friday night at 7 p.m. but will only be available at that time, and it will be gone until sometime in September of 2011.
I LOVE the idea of playing in the Cotton Bowl so we're familiar with the stadium for next season's game against Oregon but I wonder what impact several personnel decisions will have on the ticket sales. How will the OC and QB positions affect attendance? How will our performance against Texas A&M affect the attendance? Worst case scenario is for LSU to lose the game with our usual poor offensive performance and for Crowton to return and Jefferson again be named the starter. How many people will be interested in returning to Dallas if those things happen? Hopefully we'll win the game...Crowton will be replaced (or pull his head out)...and Mettenberger is the QB we hope he is.
