I owe Les & Co. an apology. After some of the decommits and possibly losing Reed to Auburn I was a bit down. LSU and Miles needed something positive to happen in recruiting and so far today it has. Hopefully, it is a premonition of how the rest of the day will go. One thing Les and his staff have proven is that they can recruit. Great job!
Reed is going to Auburn, he has been nothing but class to both schools. I wish him well. I understand wanting to leave home and experience new things.
You need to pull that back now. I have known CDL for over 15 years and speak with him every Sunday. He is a fine upstanding Christian man and coach who honestly spoke well of Auburn, Auburn's fan support, and Taylor and Luper as coaches. He made mention more than once how Reed felt at home in Opelika (barf) , how LSU had dropped the ball, and how well Auburn's fans supported the team through a rain game. He is unabashed in his support for LSU given that he used to be a GA there and is an LSU alumnus. Some of his quotes were taken out of context by a newspaper reporter who he has since told that he won't be speaking with him any longer.
The bad news is that I think if he announces any time today, we are toast. If he puts it off until tomorrow or the next day, we will get him. The good news is, I've been wrong with every prediction I've had today.
No surprise. I wish him well I respect a kid that sticks to his commitment and had the intestinal fortitude to do it with class. I wish him well.
I haven't seen anything yet with my own eyes, but I work in Alabama and one of the guys in here says that he just faxed in his LOI to Auburn and it should be announced within the hour. Take it FWIW. edit: just got another IM from him: [12:56:40 PM] jdransfield says: my buddy is an assistant in athletic dept and he says he has seen it............ [12:56:51 PM] jdransfield says: and he says it's in writing........
