Actually I trust you on this more than others, but just to be antagonistic

TigerRag - Miles: ‘We?re still recruiting’

Thibodaux High School quarterback Trovon Reed, a wide receiver prospect who was one of McCarthy’s assignments, committed to Auburn last month. Based on reports coming out of Thibodaux and from other places, LSU coaches aren’t getting a good read that they have a chance to get back in the hunt for him.
If he’s being coy to gauge their interest, someone needs to make an overture, because it seems apparent the LSU staff isn’t going to spend a lot of time chasing Reed if he’s not showing any signs of wavering from his commitment to SEC West rival Auburn.
Reed is a Tiger, a Thibodaux Tiger, and LSU coaches seem convinced he wants to be an Auburn Tiger, not an LSU Tiger.

I actually posted that article 2 days ago on here but based on the number of visits LSU has had with him and the # coaches they have sent and what Lorio said it kind of debunked Tiger Rag's sources.

I trust TigerSportsDigest and Coach Lorio over Tiger Rag.

I haven't seen (or this cold medicine is making my searches feeble) Lorio's comments. Can you give them to me?

    Thanks

The article mentioned that Robinson got an offer this week while Coach Wilson and Cooper were talking to Reed for an extended time. Lorio pulled out his film while they were there visiting Reed.

Here is a quote for TSD.com:

    Scout.com: LSU Offers Robinson

Which contradicts what was said by sources used by Tiger Rag.

He better commit soon or he won't have a spot...if Fobbs/Wright both want to commit that weekend before him, I can't see them making room for Reed unless someone else goes.

BhelmLSU, I read your last few post on the Trovon Reed matter. I think LSU has a great shot at getting him now that Recruiting Coor. Wilson is on Reed now. Scout had an up date today on it (12/28/2009) it is not over with Reed with LSU.

He loves Wilson and Gonzales and talks about them in the same light as Trooper Taylor. Get him or not, Wilson and staff have done a great job late in the game and enough to get potentially 2 visits from him, one came a couple of weeks ago and the 2nd one should be on the 23rd the week after he visits Auburn officially. If It happens I think it will be a NSD surprise.
