:geaux: Don't think LSU "let him go". He just decided he wanted to go to Auburn. He made his choice and the rest, as they say, is history. But I think that if anybody does any "regretting", it's gonna be Reed. He is a great athelete who could have been at LSU but chose not to. As I said, this kid is history and made his choice. Time to move on. :LSU231:
What's the name of the kid who left the state (and missed playing on LSU's National Championship team) to attend USC so he could win multiple championships? He'll be a senior next season so how's that working out for him? :hihi:
They're responsible for selling the program to him and they didn't do it. Instead, they let a division rival come and take one in their own backyard. I don't buy people saying Reed had his mind made up a long time ago and gave LSU little chance. Auburn wanted him more...so they got him. Therefore they did let him go.
:geaux: We'll agree to disagree on this one. I didn't say he made up his mind a long time ago, just said he made his decision, it's history and time to move on. I still say that if there's any "regretting" it'll be on Reed because I think his overall chances for success would be greater at LSU than at Auburn. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over this one. :LSU231:
The Auburn fans were really loud the whole game in the Iron Bowl. Bama has more talent than Auburn this year, but Auburn showed more heart. Their crowd was worth a TD; they kept the kids emotion up for 60 min.
You are wrong about this. It really comes down to Trovon and how he feels about his personal relationship with his coaches and the "Auburn family". Having said that, I just threw up in my mouth a little.
It came down to the ties he made with the Auburn coaches and playing time according to his HS coach. The turning point seemed to come a couple of weeks after Mike Davis committed.
