I agree that there are good ones out there and for the right reasons. The bad ones are publicized more that the good. I have had 2 negative experiences with 2 over the past 2 years. I know nothing about Reed's and I assume that is a good thing. Doesn't seem to get too involved based on what I have seen from his quotes. Another good one is 2011 DE Rasco's. The defensive coordinator and close family friend, Bryan Dawson. I may be biased since he played for LSU.:hihi: No but really he is a great guy.
DandyDon is report today that Reed is supposed to announce his commitment on Friday. Anyone else hearing this?
Reed said that a few weeks ago but Dandydon did not hear the recent news. As I suspected, he pushed back his announcement. Some will say he pushed it back because he is traveling for the playoffs this weekend but he is still receiving his Army AA jersey in a small ceremony on Friday from what I hear.
Conflicting reports if he will announce on Friday this morning but I would put my money on no announcement until after the playoffs or later. Last word from Reed and his mentor is that he would not be deciding on Friday.
Back and forth and it might change again but as of now he is scheduled to announce Friday morning. It will be Auburn if he goes through with it at this time.
Landry and Reed. Nothing wrong with having a little depth. We sure could have used it Saturday when Peterson went down.
Do you remember that time JJ was a starting corner as a FR then got busted for armed robbery on a broke guy...
All the coaches in the running have been informed of his decision and it will be announced tomorrow morning. Unless he had a revelation last night, it is AU. Looking at the positives, I think the staff should now put even more attention to Wright and Fobbs and not have to worry about someone like Reed flip flopping before NSD like Janzen last year. Only a matter of time before one or both come on board IMO and that would be an excellent WR haul.
I'm still kinda upset about losing him, especially to auburn. He's a top LA guy, and it saddens me when players like him leave. Then again Jackson just got busted for armed robbery. I don't wish this on reed, but I think it's a disgrace to not go to LSU. Auburn wont be winning anytime soon, and to put yourself in that position isn't very smart.
Although we spanked Auburn, if u look at the bigger picture, AU is #1 in offense,we're dead last. They have 1100 more rushing yds than us this year, 800 more passing yds. So far they've gotten the #1 player out of Arky and the #1 rated player in LA. Since Reed is going, wouldnt surprise me if the #1 player out of Texas goes to AU too, so they're recruiting pretty good. And if they win one more game this year, they'll match our win total last year. Having said that, I've always been crazy bout Landry so losing Reed to AU is no big deal. Just dont understand the "AU isnt winning anytime soon" logic as if they're Baylor.
