A lot of chatter the announcement will be Auburn...don't think you announce a commit on your birthday, then 2 months later decommit. Pretty sure he has a good idea where he wants to be. I don't see his reasoning if he picks Auburn, they're definitely on the decline and they've done terrible in recruiting past few years. Whoever he picks, wish him well. This is one guy I'll be following no matter where he ends up, I'm rooting for him.
I don't see him leaving home from what I have heard but he may see a way easier chance to play immediately at AU because he knows it may take a year or 2 at LSU. His family is very comfortable with LSU and most of them are big LSU fans. I wasn't saying he would commit on his birthday and then decommit but that could happen like we see all the time but I am having my doubts he announces anything at all on that day given he still hasn't taken the 3 official visits he plans on taking.
Auburn's early season offensive-explosion had me concerned, but with their recent decline (and our improvement) I'm feeling better about this one.
A couple of individuals at the game who mentioned it independently. Wasn't putting too much stock in it until one person in particular said Reed was there and shouted out to Chizik.
Not looking/sounding favorable for this one to be here next year. Notably, most of his latest interviews have all contained the statements about "early playing time". Doubt we can offer the same chance for that as Auburn. Has Benton seen much play this year? Would think that might be a good indicator for a recruit.
