Way too early to worry about 1 or 2 players being over and the what if scenarios involved in cutting it down to 25. It always works out, someone doesn't qualify or various other things happen. That won't be an issue.

I have LSU signing 27, maybe even 28. Your list was good. I would substitute the OL for a DT.

    RB Lache Seastrunk
    WR Trovon Reed
    P Jonathan Ginsburgh
    WR James Wright
    ILB Michael Taylor
    DT ???
TE Travis Dickson or ATH ??? or possibly no one

I don't have Dickson committing to LSU personally, but he is obviously a very real possibility. He would be a take.

    :yelwink2:

This matches what I was told the last few months and I expect him to commit sooner rather than closer to NSD.

That would seem most damning against Oregon. Not sure his family would be flying to the coast each week to see a game. LSU would be the closest, but AU and OU both would be doable.

Not according to what I am hearing. One thing that jumped out at me in his article was that this is the 1st time his family has gone to a campus together. Which is sort of true but not because it might have been the first time extended family all went together to see a new campus. Each of those family members who were on campus routinely come to LSU's campus and are huge LSU fans, including his late mother. Some of his family came with him during Spring practice as well. Reed made 5 LSU games last year and came with family, etc...

I am thinking of terms that it is way easier for him to come to LSU because he has proven that in being on LSU's campus 6 or 7 times since last year's NSD.

From my side of the fence it is promising that all those folk did take the time to take the trip to Auburn. I don't think that many would make a trip unless real consideration was being taken. I am not even hinting that a decision was made either way, but it is a positive for AU that they took the time to visit.

It is positive and there is some info I received today concerning the trip that sounded even better for LSU. I can't divulge into it but I can tell you that what I have posted about the distance was discussed on the return trip home. Not trying to say the trip was for no reason but I can tell you the main reason was to make sure he wasn't making a rash decision and I think we will see similar trips OOS and to LSU in the near future.

I am sure the trip to BR is easier for everyone involved. Just hoping it wasn't too onerous for his family. Got to keep my hopes up.:)

Only with things that I can exercise some control over.
