I think worse than losing Mike Davis is losing the opportunities to start getting talent from the D/FW metroplex. There is so much talent there and a heavy LSU following in North Texas. Our staff has to do a better job of recruiting that area.

Davis just wanted to go to Texas, they had 5 WR commits before him and we have what 1.

he didnt let the clock run down :19 before calling a t.o. and the qb he gave the reigns to is substantially more experience and accomplished than jj.

And they had to go to the replay and put one second back on the clock or they wouldn't be playing for the championship. It was piss poor clock management to say the least and damn lucky to boot.

Thats one thing positive about all of this, it didnt happen on signing day, which will allow us about a month and half to target some other guys and out more time with Wright and Fobbs and maybe even Reed.

Either Nebraska got screwed or LSU got screwed vs Ole Miss.

    Win-win

Unfortunatel this theory was blown out of the water when Davis committed to Texas, a team coached by Mack Brown who has won less with more talent than any currently employed collegiate coach and almost all of it due to his ****ty coaching.

Robert Davis was a DB at LSU from 1998-2001 who if I remember right was originally from Logansport but transferred to Evangel.

The difference being "almost". I almost won the lottery. However, UT beat Nebraska and is now playing for it's second NC under Mack Brown while LSU lost to Ole Miss.

I'm not saying that was the only reason for Davis' decommit but I wouldn't be surprised to hear it played a part in it.
