Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU Well, maybe the visit actually helped to solidify his choice. Having been to UT and seeing the campus and fairly pathetic non-bowl stadium, it doesn't even compare to LSUs campus or a game in Tiger Stadium. I hope the reports above are true and he is maintaining his commitment.
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU I think he went to Texas and one of the hostesses sat on his lap and his mom found out about it. Reportedly she won't let Mack Brown in the house anymore. Davis even wrote a term paper describing the freaky party he was forced to attend at gunpoint. "I will never forget the excitement amongst all participants," McDavis wrote. "Alcohol was all you can drink, money was not an option. Girls were acting wild by taking off their tops, and pulling down their pants. Girls were also romancing each other. Some guys loved every minute of the freakiness some girls demonstrated. I have never attended a party of this magnitude." He continued: "The attitude of the people at the party was that everyone should drink or not come to the party. Drugs were prevalent with no price attached." He said that, after all that, he just wanted to come to Baton Rouge where he could be closer to his mentor and life coach who goes by the street name "LaSalle Avenue"....(or is it called an "avenue name"?).  :yelwink2: :thumb: !!!!
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU What the hell is going on? Texas boards are now saying Davis will firm up secret commitment to Texas. Its on tigerden right now but I don't have a subscription. Anyone know what those crazy texans are talking about? Why can't it just be he makes his decision and other schools respectively leave him alone. This is why we need an early signing period, so our coaches can focus on filling out the last spots instead of having to re sale the program to current commits. Ugg the anxiety!!!!!!!
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU I am not counting my chickens before they hatch with this one. Pretty sure he is still on campus and probably leaving tomorrow. Maybe the visit sured up LSU or maybe the opposite. I expect Texas to pick up another WR in this class and if it is not Davis then I will worry a little less.
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU Well, I don't know anythinig so this is JMO. The guy Mack Brown really wants is Darius White, who is a 5 star Rueben Randle (and maybe more) type. If he gets White, he doesn't want Davis IMO because he already has two WR commits. Texas and Oklahoma are probably neck and neck for White although he may be favoring the wastelands north of the Red. Notre Dame may even sneak in. Mike Davis fans should be pulling for Texas on this one..., HOWEVER, Darius White has LSU listed as one of his official visits. Probably just a tourist but you never know. I would take White over Davis in a heartbeat. Stay tuned.

Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU Man, this is another reason why I wish I didnt care so much about recruiting.
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU This is why I never get overly excited about early, out of state commits. Most do honor their commitment but theres always a few who dont. There needs to be a way to make the system better, it can mess up a schools recruiting system when kids de-commit late in the process. The kids should be able to sign when they commit but be able to opt out if a coaching change occurs. We will certainly need Chris Tolliver to step his game up and live up to the hype coming out. He was a rivals top 100, time to step up. This makes losing Reed hurt that much more. ID rather Reed since he is in state, plus I like how fluid he is. I just hope Hunter sticks it out.
Re: 2010 WR Mike Davis COMMITTED TO LSU I had a feeling that text on Tigerbait was BS last night because he was still on campus and prospects usually meet with the head coach for a one-on-one visit before they leave campus on Sunday. Skyline is notorious for decommits and the trend continues.
