If he can get on the field with those guys on the roster he can get on the field at any university. He is going to have to move players out of the way there, I have eyes I see what they have on the roster now and what they have coming in and they are loaded, the coaches promise playing time to everyone. Harvin didn't just come in for a 2-3 plays a game, he played multiple positions and was on the field a ton, he was the best RB, the best WR and the best wildcat guy on the team hands down. If he is as good as Harvin finding playing time is not a problem anywhere you go and simply is not a reason. If he is going there for coaches, or atmosphere or whatever that is fine, but they are loaded at the skill position. I am not saying he will or will not get plenty of early playing time but it's pretty obvious to me LSU has a much greater need for his position.
Obviously flew over your head... Harvin came in for 2-3 plays a game on average as a Wildcat QB. That does not involve bumping Tebow or that other good backup they have. There is no denying that looking at the QBs and RBs for a conclusion about playing time wouldn't be a concern. He and his mentor are smarter than that. Auburn has some nice WRs but according to their fans who know more about their team than I do they do not have many great options at the Slot WR position. I see Shep, Gore, and possibly Calhoun and even Blue playing that slot position the next few years at LSU. I am not debating that we do have a larger need for Reed than Auburn because we both need him and his decision is not only about playing time but everything else I have mentioned. Reed would know better than anyone given that LSU and Auburn have laid out the roster probably 10 times already and showed him how he would be used.
JMO, but I think that's a fair assessment. Fannin has been our go-to guy in the slot when he motions out of the H-back, but he's really more of a converted running back. Still, he's a significant mismatch against most LB's when safeties are dropping into zone cover. To me Stallworth has potential to play slot, but he lacks size and it's anybody's guess if his quickness will return following his knee rehab. Outside of Darvin Adams, I don't feel any of our Receiver positions is completely locked down. As you stated earlier, DeLo Benton has the size, build, and speed .... but thus far he's shown to have the Roberto Duran Syndrome (Hands of Stone). I'm a big fan of Terrell Zachary and believe he will anchor the other wideout position. He's a threat to go to the endzone every time he touches the rock. Tim Hawthorne was never the same mentally following the traffic accident, and he transferred in the offseason. Derek Winter and Quindarrious Carr (shown below) are likely twos .... Carr has great hands and runs precise routes, but he's been unable to add the bulk needed to avoid getting jammed at the LOS, which is not a good thing in the SEC. Carr did a good job fielding punts late in the season. Wisner is known more for his blocking abilities than his receiving capabilities and will also be a situational receiver in Malzahn's scheme. To me, Emory Blake is the wildcard .... we just haven't seen enough of him to ultimately know what his role will be with Malzahn/Taylor. In summary, there is a very legitimate shot that Reed will compete for early playing time at AU, IMHO.
Nothing flew over my head, I don't agree it's as simple as that, you don't like that. I have no problem with him going to Auburn, it's his life. As far as Harvin, if they had two other guys on the roster that were awesome dual-threat QBs, yes, he would have to move them out of the way. As far as Harvin for Tebow, they were trying to save Tebow and Harvin was the right guy for the job. Reed can believe whatever any coach wants to throw at him, he will have to move people out of his way and if he can do that at Auburn he probably could do that on any roster right now because Auburn is downright loaded to the hilt. That is my opinion, Reed is entitled to his opinion it's his life but I see absolutely no evidence to support he is in a better position to get early playing time at Auburn over LSU. I just don't see it all.
What flew over your head is 2-3 plays a game at Wildcat doesn't change anything in terms of Reed needing to look at QBs on the depth chart. He knows he won't be a QB and 2-3 plays doesn't change anything. I guess they would have to move for 2 or 3 plays but you should get the point by now. So I guess Tebow had to move over for 2 plays a game and we see how that worked out. Look up, Caddy who knows more than you and I about the WR depth showed proof that Reed has a chance at early playing time. But that isn't the only reason he choose Auburn so it doesn't really matter.
Whatever is flying is definitely doing it over your head. That is not proof at all, that's someone's opinion, I disagree, it's no big deal get over it. The only one missing the point is you. If he can get on the field for Auburn he could get on the field for any team at least as far as I can tell. I am sorry you disagree but I see nothing to change my opinion on the matter. This was already covered in my prior post.
You can try to spin it if you want and get in a hissy fit but we were discussing recruiting in a civil matter before the fits. Just pointing out that Reed should not and is not focusing on the RBs and QB depth charts and that is rarely the case with any WR prospect. They are wrinkles in the offense... He proved AU has holes just as LSU does. Looks to me that they have WRs fighting for starting spots where ours are pretty much set at the top 3 spots.
Ignore lists are arrogant and annoying. But some folks just scream "ignore". There's only one on my ignore list. And unless folks quote that person, I am pleasantly unaware of hissy fits.
Funny you say I am having a hissy fit when the only one having the hissy is you, I disagree with you, I told you why, get over it. He proved nothing at all, it's his opinion as you have your own, there is nothing wrong with that. The only person's opinion that matters is the recruits, they promise all recruits playing time and opportunity but we all know that is not the truth.
