I'm sorry but if he "loves" lsu and LA he would not be going to Auburn. Getting a football scholly to LSU is a dream for most LA Kids. If he loved LSU then there would be no conflict and would be an immediate LSU commit

I know a ton of people who love LSU and LA and they went to another school even if they could have gone to LSU. It is not as cut and dry as some want to believe. Reed is going to Auburn because he feels like he will play earlier there, the football team and coaches feel like family to him (coach lupper), and he was told he will be played in different ways at AU (including wildcat QB).

Reed and his family have always been LSU fans and he is still sporting our gear at a basketball game last night and talking up LSU and the state of LA to other prospects while committed to another rival.

I know for a fact that Dunn and Minor both loved LSU and still do.

Reed would eventually play here, regardless, Florida state at the time was dominant i dont blame Dunn for going there and yes i know he wanted to leave because his mom was murdered on duty, but I've read his book and he flat out didnt want to come to lsu . But to select Auburn, a struggling team as of late over your home state favorite, the team you "love" sorry im not seeing it. and if he's stunting LSU gear, then he should be a bayou bengal not an auburn Pu$$y cat

This is not new however we see it all over the country when the prospect sees a better opportunity for playing time or whatever the reason. I can't think of the kids name in 2011 but he is a diehard LSU fan but has basically already said he thinks it is more beneficial to get out of state for college and that is what everyone in his family did. I am very aware of what all went down for Dunn given he was friends with my brother in HS and it him leaving didn't mean he didn't like LSU but just like Dunn his mother passed away this year and that came into play at the start as well.

He wore LSU gear on his visit here and last night and it is already proven in the Ambles article that he had great things to say about LSU. He is still thinking about LSU before NSD as well.

I get why some feel that an opportunity to play for the team you grew up with should never be passed up but that is not how it works with everybody. It comes down to way more than just that when you are actually involved in this 2 year decision process. It comes down to academics, playing time, coaches, atmosphere, campuses, proximity, qualifying, how the prospect is used in the offense, getting away from bad influences, future teammates, etc... Easy for anyone from the outside perspective to generalize but way different when you are the one making a grueling decision about your future.

You really cant say anything bad about a kid thats going to another school, while recruiting for his in state school as well. I have a new found respect for Reed, wherever he goes. Whatever his reasons are thats damn strong.

If Reed is going to Auburn expecting early playing time I think it COULD be a mistake, if he is going for other reasons like he feels more comfortable there or coaches or whatever I can't blame him there and he should stick to his guns.

Auburn has recruited quite a few WRs over the last 2 years, LSU has really nothing in the pipeline as far as the WR position. How much playing time did Benton get this year?

Just my take, here an article on WRs at Auburn.

:geaux: Agree with this. Lot's of difference between "liking" and "loving". If you love a school you're going to be there, IMO. :LSU231:

I read on a website last night that Markeith Ambles gave a verbal commitment to USC. It had him talking about it too. I hope this could be incorrect but i have a feeling its not.

Guys, dont know how this didn't make it to this board, but Ambles confirmed last night that he is no longer going to be able to visit LSU which pretty much locks it up that he's not gonna sign with LSU.

From what i read too, I am fairly confident that he is in tight with USC. if he hasn't committed yet, then he will be shortly.

We have many more options at WR. Go get 'em Staff!!
