Dooley is still after Ambles. I am hearing Ambles personality traits have been exaggerated. He is supposedly a bit of a braggart but Dooley hasnt uncovered anything that will stop him from recruiting Ambles. Its possible this kid got a bad rap.
That's good. I saw on TF and TD that a lot of people had supposed the bad rap. Even if true, people do tend to learn from mistakes. (That's how I learned so much about life :grin.
rumored that he punched a teacher at his old high school. If they are making that up then thats a hell of an imagination.
rae carruth was a pretty good college player. do you think there is anything wrong with breaking off an engagement?
Bhelm, Im sure you will give a few details on the article on Scout about Ambles. Its funny because you were totally right about Trovon Reed and his comments about LSU.
I warned you about 3 weeks ago. :yelwink2: What I was talking about is there was buzz at the Army Game that Reed was talking about LSU and Wilson to numerous players and coaches at the practices leading up to the game and even more so than Auburn and Markeith's father confirmed those reports in the article. He said Ware and Reed gave him something to think about when discussing LSU and he was impressed because Reed wasn't even committed to LSU. He wasn't only talking to Ambles from what I hear. Ambles is still thinking about taking a visit to LSU this weekend but nothing concrete yet. I still think he is a silent to USC and that is the reason he might take a break this weekend. They loved Miles and the in-home visit.
Regardless of possible late commitments, LSU appears to be on track for another Top 10 class. Considering the quality of last year's class and the early projections of a monster class next year, it appears recruiting is on solid ground. If (and a big if) LSU somehow manages to pull off a couple of NSD surprises to go with the other '09, '10, & '11 classes...WOW! Many people are commenting about "the wheels falling off" and yet we could potentially have one of the greatest three-year recruiting runs ever. It might be time to start closing in the South Endzone with an upper deck! :crystal:
Its a couple of different ways people could read into Reed's comments. I take it as he is conflicted, but he is such a stand up guy that he isnt going to bad mouth LSU, while keeping his commitment to Auburn, I hope I am wrong, but he seems like the kinda kid I would want on my football team.
I agree, he has a balance to him and seems to be getting great advise from his mentor on how to deal with the pressures. It was very smart of him not to comment after his visit to AU 2 weeks ago and LSU last week. You can tell he does Love LSU and LA and nothing will change that no matter where he plays.
