I guess you don't watch much NFL football. My bad. Stallworth = Reed Meachem = Henderson Kelly Washington is another receiver I forgot about. Probably equate him to Bowe, although Bowe has much better upside long term (but again is retarded and lazy).
I dont have to watch that much to know the differences. Stallworth and Meachem have been on teams with great QBs and havent done a damn thing. Now the LSU receivers you name, which ones have been on teams with a good to great QB? other than Davis, because Doucet seems to be breaking out now. However, Bowe=****ty QB, Reed-****ty QB, Henderson=is coming alone pretty well with Great QB, Michael Clayton=****ty QB, the good year he did have, they had a good QB. Lets look at a little perspective here.
Id agree with you on this argument. TN has produced a lot of talent at WR. Id also agree that the WR production in the NFL is pretty equal, your comparisons are dead on. Henderson was pretty much just a deep threat like Meachem is now. Henderson has just come into his own the last two years or so. Clayton had a great first year but hasnt done anything since. Forget the QBs, thats an excuse. Weve seen many good WRs produce with less than stellar QB play. Although I think Bowe is better than Washington. Bowe is near a Pro Bowl level if he gets the focus. He is the only number one WR of this group. I think Doucet could turn into an excellent WR, but he has to get on a new team. He is the number 3 guy there. If LaFell sures up his hands he will be the best of the bunch.
Yep you are right because the level of the QB has nothing to do with WR production, they throw the ball to themselves obviously.:nope:
Obviously it does have something to do with it, but a good WR helps a QB look better as well. It goes both ways. Overally though, you have to make plays. Andre Johnson played of crappy teams with subpar-avg QB play and excelled. Same with Steve Smith the last few years, although he had a down year this year.
So Schaub is a horrible QB? Show me some better examples, because I explicitly said shytty QBs. These guys you are referencing are average to decent. Delhomme just had a shytty season, when Steve Smith was lightning it up, they were a deep playoff team. You cant deny my examples of Bowe, Clayton, and Reed.
The fact is Clayton doesnt hardly see the field on a $h!tty team. I hate to say it but he is every bit the bust Stallworth is. Schaub is a pretty good QB but Carr wasnt. Casul is a decent QB.
look at the instability of that team, I guarantee you that have had at least 6 QBs since he has been there. Id be a little disinterested myself. but you are making my point. Lets play it this way. Put Clayton, Bowe, Reed, and possibly Davis on a team with Eli Manning, McNabb, or Aaron Rodgers. I believe they would make the Superbowl, depending on the defense and running game.
- Clayton stopped working after his 1st year and was in the doghouse for a number of years by the time he started working again the Bucs has acquired better guys and then had QB problems. Will probably never work back up into the lineup, I know the Bucs were wanting to get rid of him 3 years ago, he has been 3rd or even 4th string for a number of years since his rookie year. - Reed really hasn't shown much is basically down to 3rd and 4th string and mostly a possession type guy. Actually he probably could do very well as a short possession type guy with the Pats. - Henderson has come on, has great speed and is getting much better at catching, has moved up from backup to starter. - Buster will have a hard time getting on the field, SD should have never drafted him in the 1st round. - Early has apparently put on a what looks like a bunch a muscle, barring injury or trade he will be 3rd or 4th string with the Cards but he could be a number 2 with another team. To me Early has improved significantly. - Bowe has great tools but still drops way too many passes, plus he is a nightmare for the team to handle plus drugs. - Bryd I don't know if he has recovered to me he has excellent skills but will probably have a hard time seeing the field barring trades or injuries at SD.
