Well you said Crowton has a problem developing RB's and WR's and that they've done well in spite of him being there. Then you said the OC has nothing to do with it. So basically what you're saying now is that Crowton is bad for the WR's but that had nothing to do with Hunter decommitting?
Yes, Crowton hasn't done crap. You said I said this I clearly did not. Not once did I saY this kid picked UT because of the OC there. I never once said he picked UT because of the OC. I said nobody is picking LSU because of the OC. There are many reasons to pick a school, Crowton is just not one of them. The kid could simply like the colors of the school. No, I said what I said. It's right there in the thread, I didn't "basically" say anything other than what I said. There is no "basically".
I am not a GC fan by any means, but this post has no logic. Of course we all know that the NFL drafts players for just being on a good team. Makes no sense at all. If it weren't for their play on the field, under GC's offense the NFL wouldn't even be looking at them. This isn't to say that their physical gifts aren't part of the package, but these kids have to be coached up from the level of HS play, to the level of college play, to the level that the NFL sees their potential. That doesn't just happen, because they look the part.
If that were the case a school would never get rid of a coach if they got players in the NFL. You could put a monkey up in the booth throwing darts at dartboard with the plays that could have done better. If you think kids are looking to go to LSU because of Crowton I think you are fooling yourself. If anything he has lowered the draft ranking of Bryd and probably Tolliver next even though Bryd was in an accident. Scott would have done better and Williams as well under someone else, although I don't think either one of those are 1st rounders. If you think kids are looking at an offense that was near last in their conference and near last in the country are hyped about Crowton well, I would say most of them have a TV.
What you said is in a thread about Hunter decommitting so then to claim your statements have nothing to do with Hunter decommitting seems odd, but whatever. It is ridiculous to think a prospect doesn't care who is coordinator is. That is definitely important.
Again, I never said any such thing. You are saying this, not me. All you are doing is saying things I clearly did not, then you comment about a comment I never made. Brilliant. I never said it was not important to them and I never said the kid left because of Crowton. Where are you reading this? I said there maybe many reasons why a kid might come to LSU, I seriously doubt Crowton is one of them. Matter of fact, if a kid were coming to LSU because of Crowton, I would warn them they better have other good reasons because that isn't a reason. Hunter left because 1.) distance 2.) family 3.) HS coach 4.) other reasons Now whether "other" is Crowton I don't know and I never claimed that.
No, I wouldn't say that they are looking to come to LSU because of Crowton, my contention is that the kid is making a mistake choosing UT over LSU. Whether it be GC's offensive schemes or the program LSU is putting more of these kids in the NFL than UT. Like it or not GC is part of that success. Frankly I want him gone as much as any LSU fan, my point is the kid is making a mistake, and I don't think that GC is the reason some of these kids are decommitting. Especially choosing an unknown situation at UT as opposed to the given at LSU, we simply put more players in the NFL than they do. Plain and simple, end of story.
You have no ability to claim it's a mistake for him to go to UT. How many players did LSU put in the NFL in the 90s, under this stupid theory... all the great players that LSU had this decade should have went elsewhere. You have no idea what this kid's goals are, you know just because you feel a certain way doesn't mean he made a mistake. GC was less than a factor than the waterboy, he is an defensive coordinators wet dream. That my friend is the end of the story. If you are putting GC as the reasono why a player should come here, I would tell them to go somewhere else if that is the best reason you can come up with. To me there is only one WR that has really been under Crowton and that is Tolliver and Tolliver was a physical matchup since HS, Crowton has done nothing but completely destroy this offense. These kids have TVs and they have internet access, and they have a few brain cells upstairs and can see very poor offense.
