Come on, have some faith in values such as truth and justice. Crowton led our offense to the 2007 National Championship and wowed the world of college football while shattering the all-time LSU records for offensive output. But not for Crowton, kids from halfway across the country like Hunter probably wouldn't have been considering us in the 1st place.
Dissappointing, I would tell the kid big mistake, because we can all say what we want about GC, but our receivers have flourished under Crowtons offensive schemes and done well in the NFL and the NFL draft.
The only year where the WRs did really well is 2007, when Crowton came in and didn't change much of anything. Early Doucet was a Sr., Bryd came in from CC, LaFell was pretty much established as was Dickson. The only true receiver to develop under Crowton is Tolliver which to me is an outstanding physically gifted WR, but flourished is kind of pushing it to be honest. The passing game has gone completely down hill as has the whole offense. Crowton has absolutely nothing to do with LaFell being drafted high. Matter of fact, I would say the WRs have done as good as they could despite Crowton being there.
