Even Bert Jones, one of LSU's all-time greatest qb's, split playing time with Paul Lyons. Nothing against Jefferson but sometimes you just need a change of pace. To me it was refreshing to see Lee in there. It seemed to refresh the team as well.

Have you never seen "Ridley Reporter"? I'll see if I can find it for you...hilarious. Ridley, like all Mississippi folks, is very mature and well spoken.

:geaux: Happy with the win, the "D" and the running game. Ridley was a beast and Blue looks like he can be something special. JJ just absolutely scares the hell out of me though. He just doesn't seem to be progressing and he should be getting better by now. JJ will continue to start, but I do hope he's got a shorter leash now. Maybe if/when Lee does come in he can give the "O" a spark. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know. I'm just worried that if JJ doesn't get better in a hurry that there's trouble ahead when the meat of the SEC season gets here. Hoping for the best while fearing the worst. :LSU231:

Just got back from the game and I had an absolutely horrible time. It wasn't that the game was bad, other than Jefferson in the first half, but 3 middle aged men in front of me did absolutely nothing but complain about Miles and the rest of the coaching staff from the opening kickoff till the end of the game. I made it a point to say something good about Miles whenever something good happened.

Hell at one point the guy directly in front of me started bitching when Jefferson scrambled for the first on 3rd and 4 on our first TD drive and I said "nice decision."

I loved the game but was miserable because of some of our fans and I think that is pathetic.

A good solid win. I was pleased to see some solid improvement in most phases of our game with the exception of the O taking it's time to get out of the gates. Most of that being due to JJ's horrible play. The kid seems to be regressing. Due to his indecisiveness we left a good 20+ pts on the table. Other than that still a good solid win. If I were to grade our efforts I'd give it a solid B overall. Would be an A, but JJ gets a D-, which brings it down. Was reall pleased with the run game and the D. We improve the passing game and this team is unstoppable.
