Got his offer today. He is a TE/DE out of Many HS and as of now we are recruiting him as a TE. Also a basketball player who Trent has shown interest in. He could be our first commit any day now. 6'5 245 4.8
Re: TE Nick Jacobs Great athlete, LSU going to start out strong early this year from instate commits. Last year early on it was all OOS prospects, that NC was fresh on their minds me thinks. This year isn't as strong in LA prospects though, IMO. I'd like to see LSU somehow get Broadway here, another good looking prospect. Him leaving wouldn't surprise me though.
Re: TE Nick Jacobs Will be the first LSU commit. Should come within the next couple of weeks. Welcome aboard. Hopefully he makes it as a TE rather than DE. He would be a great target at 6'6"/6'7" (he's still growing).
Re: TE Nick Jacobs A poster on TD said that he is raw as a TE & more of a blocking TE. Is there a quote where he says we're recruiting him as a TE? Or is that from Sonny? My guess is we like him as an athlete & will make a better assessment on his position in camp.
Re: 2010 TE Nick Jacobs I would like to see him as an early commit. I did hear somewhere that they used him more for blocking at Many, but playing basketball would probably mean he would have the hands to be a target in the passing game. He seems pretty excited about the LSU opportunity- always good to get in-state boys who live or die with the Tigers! :helmet:
