The official list should be out shortly and I will post the rankings of the players of interest.

Mike Davis got his 5th star
Simon got bumped up to a 4 stars

Jordan Allen moved up 5 spots in the DE rankings to #10
Spencer Ware moved up 2 spots in the RB rankings to #9

Mathieu and Blackmon should get their rankings later today.

We should move up to #3 overall in the team rankings slightly behind OU at #2 and in front of Bama.

Cobbs that high is amusing.. I wish they would get the positions correct for most of these players.

Gibson is rated as a QB
    Porter is rated as DL
    Vinson is rated as S
    Dickson is rated as DE

Without accessing Scout, my guess is they are rating the players on what position they project they will end up playing their college ball, not what position(s) they are playing in highschool.

    Re: Updated Scout Rakings (8/17)

That's the funny part.. it's the other way around. They are not projecting their college position -- they're using highschool position.

Example: Sam Gibson will not be a college QB at LSU, he'll be a WR or a Safety. Yet he's ranked as a QB.

The rankings are being updated outside of the 300 from now until Thursday.

We have a few players that will drop to NR during the transition as they switch a few of our commits' positions. Ex Elliot porter, Sam Gibson, etc...

Mathieu is now a 3* on Scout and the highest rated 3* corner. He is expected to get a 4th star during his senior year.

Blackmon got 2* and is expected to get a 3rd star when they get film on him.

For some reason Porter is still ranked as a DT but moved up from #45 to #31. He will be ranked later as an OG which could move him to 4*.

Sam Gibson is still a 3* and he was moved from QB to S.

LSU is now #4 on the team rankings.

It is interesting the number of guys we have right on the borderline. Mathieu and Jacobs are the highest 3* at their positions. And then Porter, Muncie, and Gibson are very close to being 4*. Jarrett Fobbs is another Louisiana player that was just about the highest 3* WR.

I still don't like Scout's rankings as much as Rivals'. Having a set number of stars each year, 300 4* and above, I don't like. And having 50 5* is WAY too many.

Plus, I think their evaluations are a little off. I see guys we recruited from Texas that Muncie has better film than like Tommie Saunders.
