LSU expects to land both Vinson and Reid in this class but it looks like we will have to wait for their commitments.

Vinson is a great prospect out of New Orleans.

Here is an article and video about his process so far: (Looks like it is free right now but that could change)

Good Stuff Helm!! Vinson and Reed are fantastic prospects who would fit well at LSU.

I guess, my only thought would be, what are you basing this on? I know Bama is already looking at Vinson, and we dont' always pull the Newman talent. So, is there something that should be putting me at ease that I have missed?

As for Reid, I think he will come our way, but as he said already, I think he just wants a little bit of spotlight.

Thanks Helms, as always, good insights.:geaux:

I was just somewhat expecting these 2 to be early commitments but it looks like they both have plans to ride it out now.

I still feel they both will be Tigers. (I consider Reid a lock)

Vinson's making lots of Ole Miss noise right now ... and USC just offered him, but I don't believe USC's really in the picture for him right now.

I was in contact with vball earlier about him.

He is still considered a strong lean to LSU but he will take his time before committing.

Bama and Michigan also offered today.

    BTW,

LSU wants him at CB, maybe Safety if Vinson pushed it.

Ole Miss has mentioned S, RB, and slot WR.

He says Bama is looking at him for a RB but that was before Saban got a chance to watch his film so I have my doubts he will be recruited for the offensive side of the ball at Bama.

USC may have offered him as an ATH.

After Saban watched his tape he wants him at CB as well along with LSU and Norton at USC. Michigan and Ole Miss mention defense but are also looking at him as a RB or WR. RBs coach at Bama still wants him at RB as well.

Vinson is quoted in saying he wants to play CB in college recently.

LSU still has a firm lead but he is getting the most attention out of all LA recruits right now and do not expect him to make a decision any time soon.

Vinson and Reid are close now through spending time together at LSU over the past few months and both will be attending a LSU spring practice together late this week or early next week. Vinson is coming with his parents.

Same Story with Vinson. He wants to take his time and go through the full process. I would think it will play out similar to Mingo last year but with more visits to other programs. Going to be hard for another program to take him out of LA in the end.

    Here is a good breakdown:

That's a very good sign. That would automatically take Saban out of the equation:hihi:

Named LSU, Tenn, Bama, USC, UCLA, and Michigan his leaders today.

LSU does not have much to worry about at this time.
