    4* S out of Maryland has LSU and UF at the top of his list but neither have offered yet.

    Some of his offers are from Michigan, OU, VT, Maryland, UNC, Duke, and Pitt.

    He can't wait to make it down to LSU to show his skill and get an offer.

    Why so many safeties?

    Depth can never hurt. Alot of our 'safeties' are going to end up at either OLB or CB depending on how they grow.

    Chavis likes smaller LBs with speed and HS safeties transition to LB fairly easily and many are in the mold he is looking for.

    There is also a demand in college football for defenses that can defend the spread. LBs that can float around the line and drop back into coverage to defend the pass are valuable against speedy spread offenses.

    He's already close to 200 pounds, wouldnt need too much more to be a linebacker in Chavis' system

    I think he'll easily be 215-220 before he first sees the field. OLB all the way imo.
