Alabama.... 1868 (21) LSU got the rest of the boost from Hardrick getting his 4 stars. After Blackmon gets his 3 stars, LSU will be at 3.68 average and get an additional 10-15 point boost from that. So roughly 2050, as I had projected earlier. Tennessee shooting up big time with some 4 star signings recently. By average (factoring in Blackmon): 1. USC....... 3.86 2. Texas..... 3.84 3. Florida.... 3.80 4. LSU........ 3.68 5. Cal......... 3.64 LSU, by my projections, should end up with a 3.74 average. 1 five star, 18 four stars, 8 three stars (27 total, Seastrunk, Reed, Wright OR Fobbs, other 4 star player at DL or LB, Ginsburgh). If Blackmon decommits, then possibly a 3.77 average.

They still haven't updated our average to 3.68 plus the 5 to 15 points we should pick up because of his ranking.

I thought that all four star players were worth the same amount of points, but apparently this is incorrect. We have more 3 star and more 4 star players than the team above us, but they have more points. Is there an explaination of how the points are given somewhere? Thx!!
Well only your best 20 recruits count for points in rivals rankings. It is a bit odd that Penn State does have an edge on us with 14 four star and 6 three star and LSU with 15 four star and 5 three star players. You do get extra credit for having players in the top 5, top 10 or top 20 of different positions and I suspect Penn State and Texas have done a better job at having players that high up and LSU might be falling right out of those ranges with it's players. Also, their overall rating is higher at 3.70 vs LSU at 3.65 but that wouldn't make enough of a difference. It still goes back to the player rankings by position. Sam Gibson being downgraded to a 3 star sucked. We would have 70 more points right now if he hadn't.
