We nearly did bring in 7.. we signed 5. Janzen Jackson spurned us.. and we lost Benton. It wasnt a crazy prediction by any means. Debose, Richardson, Brown, Armstrong, Christine Michael, Campbell... All were very high on us.
Izzy was the ring leader, but many of us were getting just a bit silly with some of that stuff. Myself included. One thing I relearned this year - high school kids haven't changed. Unpredictable and most are not to be taken at their word! :lol:
Agree. 5 - 5 Star recruits is unprecedented at LSU. The closest was 2004 with 3 - 5 Star High School recruits & 1 - 5 Star Juco. The 2009 class is an amazing class all around. Funny thing, Benton was a 3 Star on Scout & 4 Star on Rivals this year. He turns 22 this year, I believe during Football season.
I have head from few few sources over the last 2 weeks that they believe LSU is out front for his services and Auburn is 2nd at this time.
Great news even though it is early. The injury to Ridley serves as a reminder that we need to sign good RB's this year. I hope we can get a solid back early because we may have to wait a long time for the elite backs while they enjoy their moment in the sun and prolong things until NSD. I want this guy and I want him early. Not asking too much right?:hihi: Any word on when he will visit? If we eventually sign him can't you see the corny headlines now, especially during hurricane season? Put him on the list for the all name team this year. Now if we can only get "munchie" Legeaux.
He is coming in on the 28th at the request of the staff. We will have a few big names in on that date and the spring game.
