Sounds like this could be a case of the kid, the dad, and the media jumping the gun on this one a bit. Did he in fact have a commitable offer in hand when he came in for his bday? If so, that makes me think there is something the coaches aren't sure about, whether it be a character issue, or the fact that they may favor some other rb's. whatcha think fellas?? or better yet, whatcha know??:geaux:
I may be too caught up in the Charles Scott vs. Keiland Williams battle in which the power back recruit ended up outplaying the speed guy, but I'd take Storm Johnson right now and take my chances with Seastrunk down the road. This guy is all LSU and then some. How many times can you have an elite player try to commit, get rejected, and then still be interested? I'm real high on this guy.
This is the 2nd year in a row our coaches have passed on a highly rated RB. IMO, it doesn't have to do with Seastrunk so much as it does with the guys we do have - Ford & Ware.
It seems to me that the common theme seemingly conveyed to media about both Storm and Christine Michael is that the coaches were adamant about seeing them in action in person. It seems that is one of the major stepping stones, but it seems so easily correctible, too. Do others agree with that being a common thread for these two?
I think it is interesting that none of the major Georgia schools recruited him. He's already gone off script publicly with Les. He may have issues unrelated to his talent.
He has officially moved on and named FSU his leader. LSU is not in his top 5 becasue he says he doesn't fit in our offense.
