Re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU

Well, LSU has offered Alfred Blue, which is...

Either something is going on with Lach or Storm...or the staff just wants 3 RBs...which I don't see. Course...it could be a wait and see offer. I thought that was kinda interesting. Will Blue even qualify this year??

I would be comfy taking 3 backs this year. We will lose Scott and Williams. Murphy has not shown to be very effective. Ridley is having surgery, hope for the best there. Ford has come in, and we expect good stuff there. I think we're thin at RB after this season. Any of the "athletes" make a good RB?

Mack Brown just committed to Florida. Georgia has only one back as a verbal and was targeting him. I was just wondering if they would try to sway Storm now possibly.

Re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU

Wherever he goes, I bet someone offers Storm quickly and he commits right away. I don't think he'll take a lot of time to mull it over. Maybe the slugs over at Tennessee will offer.

I wonder if Georgia was after him much in the first place. It seems like there's something vaguely negative about him in the first place...rumors that may or may not be true or something. It doesn't seem to be his ability on the surface. I don't think anyone outside the coaching loop really knows.

What is up with DD saying "I believe we can forget about Storm signing with LSU"? Something break that I don't know about? Bhelm, Cparso,? Anyone?...

Word is that one of the LSU coaches called Storm to say he no longer has an offer. (posted on another thread here and on TD).

    Who knows for sure?

Well, all I have to say is I hope they are sure about Lache if not LSU is going to very suspect in the RB department going forward.

You basically have Michael Ford and Ware as the only true RBs signed since 2006 and Ware has basically played QB and DB. It appears to be Lache or bust to me. You need 4 guys basically that can play.

So you have after this year:
    - Murphy (Sr)
    - Ford (So)
    - Ware (Fr)
    - Hopefully Lache (Fr)

You can add Shepard to the mix but to me he has to be used more like a slot kind of guy or on reverses.

You probably need 2 guys next year... than out of the 5 maybe you get 4 players that stay clean and unhurt. It's definitely not crowded at RB, right now there is a huge gap if LSU doesn't get Lache.

:huh:This situation is very confusing i mean we have a verbal from one of the best looking RB's in have country and we simply resend the offer.. Then we go and take an offer from a guy who is not th equal to storm...just look at the film on the two of them and judging bye his forty ties he could barely out run me....forgive me but i am very biased with players from the north i only like the linemen not the skill positions......Is there a grades or character issue with storm someone please explain this...frankly i dont really like our last two commits and there are another 2 or 3 that i question.....i felt storm was the best player we had comitted and we resend the offer.....
