re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU Miles doesn't want him to take other visits, he wants him to be through taking visits before he commits.
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU Better for us if he waits because LSU looks more attractive at RB without one of our 2 slots gone. We have a ton of RBs coming in this weekend.(A commit the week before camp could push a few to stay home or visit elsewhere) Plus Miles does this all the time with recruits who want to take visits still. We will take chances and let some take visits here and there but Miles will always tell them we want you when you are ready. All I know for sure is that Storm and his dad where very enthusiastic after the visit and there are no hard feelings with whatever was said. LSU is still their clear favorite.
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU :geaux: So what you're saying is that even though Storm wanted to commit he also wanted to take other visits afterwards, to which CLM's response was to say take your visits first and then we'll talk commiting. If that's the deal, I agree with and understand that. If he was wanting to still take visits after commiting, maybe his commitment would be seen as not being that strong or sincere, aka a "soft commit"? Is this it in a nutshell? If that's the case, I can see why CLM would want him to wait until he's absolutely sure of everything. :LSU231:
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU :geaux: Thanks Bhelm, appreciate the response. :LSU231:
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU You are easily confused. I didn't say...or even imply...that SJ was asked to play LB or any position other than RB. I simply stated that it is similar to the Montrell Connor sitch in that the recruit winds up embarrassed. And I know Montrell was asked to play LB, which is why he didn't wind up at LSU. The point is, he didn't realize...for whatever reason...that they only wanted him for LB. He came out publicly saying he was committing to LSU, and wound up embarrassed. He thought LSU wanted him at RB. I hope BHelm is dead on with what he's saying, and trust that he is. But I feel bad for SJ because he came public saying he was committing to LSU, obviously feeling his commit would be accepted. As of now, it is not.
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU That's exactly what it sounds like happened, I was not there. Also sounds like SJ was just fine with that and I would be surprised if he ends up somewhere else.
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU SJ wanted to commit because LSU was his first choice. He is graduating in December so I don't think official visits were going to fit into his schedule if he's playing on Friday nights and must be in class Monday morning. Unlike other players his early graduation doesn't make them easily possible. Something else is going on here.
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "pretty much" COMMITED TO LSU Just as I was saying, silent commit. But his father is not being too silent about it.:hihi: Storm gives a quote at the bottom of the article as well. Georgia RB Storm Johnson still a solid LSU commit - NOLA.com
