IMHO if you commit somewhere that means the recruiting process is over for you. If you still want to take visits then that means you're not committed. If Storm wants to take other visits he's not totally committed. I understand that kids want to take visits but there is a price.

Nope, not by me... I didn't see nobody, Nowhere.. Just relying on what I read here on TigerForums. Not even sure if Storm Johnson was here, I just read on here that he was.. Now he's gone, if he was here that is:confused:. He's gotta be a good running back.. first you see him then you don't!!!:hihi:

Anyone else out there think that there should be NO national signing day...that a kid that commits should be allowed to sign a letter of intent at any moment during the year?

Well, I know that the networks like ESPN would hate it. After all, their artificially induced false drama that results in all the stupid hat tricks also results in good ratings.

I guess I mean anybody besides them?

IMO.. there should be a NSD. But make them able to sign their LOI any time they would like.. but the deadline is NSD. Of course add a clause that their contract is null if the coach (or their positional coach?) leaves/gets fired.

Sure...and some other contingencies like grades or injuries could be dealt with too.

I don't know why it's not like this because a kid could really end his recruitment by committing and then signing a LOI. It seems it would sure save the colleges a lot of money that they wouldn't have to spend travelling to show "love" and make sure the commitment's solid.

Think how much Coaches would save in antacids and blood pressure meds alone:lol:.

gotta remember that these kids are, well, kids. A year of high school and some reflective time over Christmas and New Years is an eternity of time taken in the context of these kids' age.

I think NSD is exactly where it should be. If the coaching staff's want to woo them, then they should spend the money. Let these kids have time to figure it out.

If they don't want the process going on any more, simply commit, buy a bunch of team gear, and never talk about anything except the school they've committed to. The coaches will go elsewhere (except for the top 10 recruits - they're going to get calls until they sign).

    IS that being reported somewhere?

I heard it would be the weekend and he would leave Saturday. Auburn's camp is Friday thru Sunday or Monday so he could go to both. Ours is Monday thru Wednesday but we have many coming in for the weekend most being in who are commits and for the 1 day lineman camp on Sunday.

No one will likely know until he is seen on the campuses.

Rumor mill...but I am operating under the impression that he will be at AU Saturday only, then at LSU thru Wednesday. What I still would like to know is was he here LAST weekend when SJ was here?

Apparently Storm is not a definite take with Lache & Dyer still on the board and the talent available at RB next year. It will be interesting to see what happens, but I think he's a hell of a talent & will be a very good college back.

You think if we take Storm we don't get Hilliard or Hill next year.
