re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "not quite" COMMITED TO LSU I like him better than Pratt, the recruit that bailed on us last class. He has a little wiggle for a power back and doesn't have to be just a north-south runner. I expect him to fill out to 225lbs easily if he is indeed 215 or 217 now. I agree with a previous poster that he has the potential to be a little more elusive than Scott. That is not a knock on Scott, I just think this guy has more fluid hips. However, I think we want him as a power back and don't expect him to be dancing around. I also think his move up in class will go a long way in preparing him for college ball. We wanted a quality big back and we got one. In fact when I looked on Rivals he was the highest ranked biggest back still available. The only one bigger was a guy Bama took that ran a 4.8 40.
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! It is great be a an LSU Fan these days. The name of the game is recruiting and Coach Mainieri and Coach Miles does not have to take a back seat to anyone. Great pick-up... :geaux:
re: 2010 RB Storm Johnson "not quite" COMMITED TO LSU He is only 16 year old, I think he will grow into his body before he gets to LSU. :geaux:
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! :geaux: Wonder why Scout is not listing Johnson as a commit yet? Since he committed late yesterday figured they would have listed him by now. Has rivals added him yet? Just curious. :LSU231:
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! Scout is waiting for Storm to talk to Miles first since it becomes official after Miles approves the commitment. Which he will but Miles is on vacation in Destin right now and Miles can't call him during the Quiet Period.
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! Aaaaahhhh, the quiet period...Sssshhhhh !!! (Do they have a no bump zone too?)
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! No bump rule is in effect for all coaches during the Quiet Period I believe. The Saban rule prevents Head Coaches from ever bumping into prospects off campus. Only contact they can have is if they are on campus (Hence a major reason for summer camps) and if the prospects call the coaches. I believe the LSU staff can talk to their HS coaches freely but I am not an expert by any means on all the rules.
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! Neither is Lane Kiffin. I guess you are good to coach in the SEC now. Best of luck to you! :thumb:
Re: Storm Johnson Commits!!!!!!!! As far as I can tell no one is listing Johnson as a commit yet. Hope its true.
