Distance isn't always everything. Janzen Jackson is a good example. Especially considering he has ties with players/recruits who are or will (likely) be at LSU.

It's not like Lache has no ties to the state of Louisiana.

    "Distance isn't always everything"
Now apply that logic to your first post. Unless you're personal buddies with Lache you really don't have a clue what factored into his junior day visit to Texas and not to LSU or USC.
Really the only point I'm trying to make is Texas is very, very much a heavy player in Lache's recruitment, as is LSU. That one guy foolishly thinks USC is ahead of Texas, and if you've been following Seastrunk's recruitment like I have you'd know that the only thing USC has going for them is Seastrunk's infatuation for Reggie Bush; which really is not a whole lot to hang your hat on.

It's also not like Lache has no ties with the state of Texas and current and future Longhorns either.

Let's be clear here - we're talking about completely different subjects. Factoring distance into what 'junior day camps' a player attends and where he attends school are entirely different.

I don't think he used the word.. 'ahead'. Nothing foolish about it.

    *sigh*

Yes they are different, but as I said you haven't the slightest clue what factored into those decisions. This is all really off topic anyways. I only made that point to show why it's idiotic to write of Texas.

No he did not use the word 'ahead', but use your brain, slick, that is exactly what he meant by 'bigger player'.

And yes it is extremely foolish to think that. It's no more foolish to think USC is ahead of Texas as it is to think USC is ahead of LSU.

Widget, you are off to a bad start on this forum. Perhaps you would feel more at home posting at Tigerdroppings or somewhere else. We don't appreciate it when novices come here and with their 5th post bash the opinions of others with words such as dumb, foolish, etc,. We don't feel the need to put down others who have different opinions from our own.

But you do? No, actually his quotes about why he missed those days(like track and proximity) give big clues. That and the fact that I live here in TX and know quite a number of alums who don't feel good about this kid, at all.

Perhaps he is, and that is your opinion. I happen to put USC ahead of Texas. Do you see me calling you a dumbass because you don't share my opinion?

You are foolish to assume you are the most informed person here on Seastrunk's recruitment. Unless you are a relative or friend. Is that what you are implying?

Perhaps you should rethink how you sling your crap at posters here, until you have been here longer than a nanosecond. I don't think you want to get in a pissing match with me.

FWIW, I have heard from a few people in Texas that they think USC and LSU are ahead of Texas at this point.

No doubt, since that's exactly the role he'd most likely play in our offensive scheme ... but our assumption (my assumption) is LSU's the team to beat ... by a country mile.

BTW ... nice start on 2010, Tigers.

I don't know how many early verbals USC is seeking this year, since the scuttlebutt is Carroll is tired of putting a target on "our guys" for other programs to zero-in on for 10 months to try and shake 'em loose.
