Forgot about Pratt. We're looking to have a better RB tandem than the one we have now. Do you think Seastrunk (if he ends up a tiger) would see more playing time in the slot or in the backfield?
This cat is not going to be in the slot. He will push for playing time at running back the first day on campus.
I have heard him mentioned before but now I have seen him, wow! His ability to kick up to second gear is quite amazing, and his moves in the open field as well. Reminds me a bit of Chris Johnson for the Titans, doesn't have much power but he is so fast he doesn't really need it. According to a Texas link on google he runs the fastest 100m time in all of Texas HS right now. Walking into Texas two years in a row and stealing the top player sounds great too.
The only problem is I don't think the NCAA will allow Russell Shepard and Lache Seastrunk to be on the field simultaneously. LSU officials are trying to get a final verdict on that.
He'll push for playing time.. no doubt about that if we get him. We usually have a 2 running backs.. (1a) and (1b). If Seastrunk is the (1b) we want him on the field as often as possible [slot if necessary]. That would be unfair. We could play 8 players on defense and still win games with that crew.
I can see it now, coming out with 4 wide in the shotgun with Seastrunk beside Shepard. We could realistically have 6 players on the field at the same time who run in the mid 4.4s or less. Is that even legal?:hihi:
2010: QB - JJ & Shepard WR - Randle WR - Benton WR - Toliver RB - Ford & Pratt RB - Seastrunk Seastrunk breaks out of the backfield to line up as a 4th wideout. What do you do defensively? Cry? There's no crying in football!
Slightly off topic.. but NCAA 2010-13 is going to be stupidly unfair when playing as LSU. Half the offense will be like 94-99 SPD.. :thumb:
