Late Saturday nights after the kids are in bed...my wife does happen to call me "shorty". I think about LSU baseball; it gives me stamina. That's why sometimes I yell..."SLIDE !!!" (my apologies to Woody Allen)
Not sure exactly where this came from but saw it on another board and I have my doubts that it is true but this is what Mr. Newberg is saying.
Not to sound like a negative nancy here...but if that is true, its gotta be Auburn at this point IMO. Its only extra incentive Reed is there. It would be nice if we can turn Reed's commitment to us. That would definitely help with LS. I can't see him picking us with 3 RBs in this class unless LSU tells one of them to take a hike.
Another thing to watch is Lattimore which was also mentioned. It was said that if Lattimore goes to AU, Lache is not.
I don't know much about Lache personally, but from what I have seen he's not lacking in confidence. He comes off as a guy who would attend whatever school he felt most comfortable at, regardless of who else was on the roster.
That's what i like. I like confidence in players. They see that they can step in because they know they're good, not in a cocky way, but they know they can compete with anyone
FYI ... scout.com is now reporting the same thing. It's apparently down to Auburn and LSU only for Seastrunk. I've been hearing for some time that Lache will announce prior to the end of january, while Lattimore is currently scheduled to announce at his church on the day before NSD. Personally, I believe Lattimore is Carolina-bound, as is the big OL Mack .....but recruiting makes for strange days. regardless of where he commits, he's going to be a fun player to watch, IMO.
I am still taking it with a grain of salt given he is still scheduled to visit USC in Jan. That video on Lattimore that came out the other day sounded very pro AU but I agree SC is still the team to beat.
