LSU has 2 losses, to the #1 and #2 teams in the country. The offense struggling may give recruits the idea that they can come in and make a difference quickly.

Sometimes, purple colored glasses can reduce unnecessary stress about shyte you: a) don't have access to know enough about, and b) can't predict even if you knew everything there is to know.

Have not heard anything like that and it seems like most of the USC boards haven't either.

Beginning to look like USC has pulled even with LSU for Lache. I get the feeling that some of the LSU analyist even think USC has pulled slightly ahead.

IMO...the hollywood image is winning him over and he definiately isnt scared to compete with what USC has over there.

I don't see it either. Are recruting is top ten every year despite a stutter in offense or defense.

As for Lache. USC's backfields are loaded. If he went there he wouldn't see much PT because of the depth USC has a RB until his Jr/Sr year

I have no idea what a Freshman running back would want to get 200+ carries his first year. The days of Earl Campbell and Herscel Walker are over. In college and the NFL you basically need 2-3 or even 4 guys now. The defenses are much bigger and faster, and have no problem hitting you on your knees. If you see the teams that are good at running they usually have at least 2 guys that are good.

LSU seems to have a opening right now for a RB to come in but not actually have to have the whole team on his shoulders the whole time.

Ridley looks like #1, Ford should have his shot at #2, and have competition from whoever they recruit this year and next to show what they have but not have to do it all themselves.

This is a good point, but as shown in Trent Richardson and Bryce Brown, if you're good enough, you can get a significant amount of carries as a true freshman in the SEC.

    This^

I mean, all of these kids view things differently. LSU does not have that STAR RB and I am sure one of these kids see's LSU as their place to make a point.

Still, even with some O trouble if that is our downfall, then USC should be off the list aswell.

Kids pick certain schools for their own reasons and more often than not, we will never know why.

I'd be absolutely shocked if we landed LS. I think the rumors with USC are based on something. How often does USC insiders lie so hard? They're usually pretty good on who they'll land, IMO.

LSU has struggled on offense since the second half of last year, has shown little to no improvement this year. Arguably, all year except at the very last game with Jefferson. Averaging 30 points a game wasn't a good stat to look at when LSU was behind 20+ points in some games like Georgia/Florida.

Crowton is as good as gone from LSU. Miles called him out today.

Porter is the top candidate for the Memphis job right now. I doubt he turns down the opportunity should it be offered officially. He might wait until after NSD but we'll see if he takes the job.

Reed picking Auburn didn't help LSU with LS. If he picked us, it might give him extra incentive to look at LSU thanks to his best buddy being here.

That is all just my opinion though. I'll be happy if LSU just keeps the class they have now.
