Don't remember anything about a sick brother. I believe his best friend is a commit to Baylor and his friend's dad is one of the Baylor coaches. He decommitted from Texas for Baylor.
BhelmLSU, I read DandyDon this morning and he seems just like you. Mr. Long has Seastrunk coming to LSU at 70-30% in favor of LSU (Aug-14-09). :geaux:
Bhelm, you hearing anything about Seastrunk and Auburn today? Talked to a friend that works with scout and there seems to be alot of smoke that Seastrunk committed. Of course, I know it doesn't matter if he did or not because we still have a lot of time left. Just asking b/c I know you will be able to find out of there are any legs to this rumor.
Correction, my buddy just called me back and said that it is just a rumor. Supposedly some auburn people like to jump the gun and get their fans hopes up only to piss them off more.
http://www.tdtnews.com/story/2009/8/29/60257 As Temple’s football team walked off the Wildcat Stadium turf following its final scrimmage against Pflugerville Connally on Thursday night, lightning flashed and rain began to pour out of the sky - perhaps a sign to proclaim that the Wildcats are ready for the regular season. Temple’s swarming first-team defense didn’t even allow Connally to threaten to score a touchdown, and Lache Seastrunk ran about 70 yards to score on a 5-yard rush as the Wildcats put together a crisp performance in their tuneup for the opener against Cedar Park at home a week from today. “Our kids stepped it up tonight,” said Temple coach Bryce Monsen, whose squad was inconsistent in a scrimmage at Cedar Park Vista Ridge last Thursday. “I thought our first unit and especially our defense played really well. “We played hard and this gets us ready to play Cedar Park. We were better with our fundamentals. For a scrimmage, we got some good work done.” Temple senior cornerback Ryan Powell liked his team’s intensity and execution, in particular on the defensive side. “Our defense was excellent tonight,” he said while being pelted by rain. “We made a couple of mistakes, but they’re fixable. The big thing was that we hustled to the ball. We’re ready for the season.” The scrimmage became more and more spirited as the night went on, with the first teams trading hard hits and plenty of trash talk and shoves. “I thought our 1s (first-teamers) got after their 1s early on, and after that their coaches had a lot of enthusiasm,” Monsen said. “I don’t mind that. There was great effort.” In a solid, balanced effort for Temple, returning senior stars Derrick Davis and Stedman Moore stood out. The 248-pound Davis was in on some big hits at middle linebacker to help stymie the Cougars’ shotgun attack, and as a fullback he showed quickness and power as he blasted through the middle for a 39-yard gain on Temple’s first offensive snap. Moore was a hard-hitting and disruptive force from his bandit linebacker spot, getting into the backfield and either sacking the quarterback or forcing him into bad throws. And as a wingback on Temple’s second-team offense, he scored on a 5-yard rush. Senior Seastrunk, a two-time 1,500-yard rusher who’s rated among the nation’s best running backs, displayed his elusive qualities on the night’s lone score by the Wildcats’ first-team offense. Davis’ 39-yard rumble and Seastrunk’s 20-yard burst to the right side helped Temple move to Connally’s 5-yard line, then Seastrunk ran wide to the left side. But apparently he didn’t like what he saw and put on the brakes not more than 10 yards from the sideline, then reversed field and ran all the way back across - going just fast enough to dodge the last would-be tackler - to score just inside the right pylon. Temple’s opener against Cedar Park is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday at Wildcat Stadium. The Timberwolves held off the visiting Wildcats for a 28-20 win in last year’s opener.
I was listening to the LSU pregame show (Washington) here in New Orleans on WWL. The guy who was heading it up had both Scout and Rivals on talking about recruiting. Well make it short they both said Seastrunk is a lean to LSU. :geaux:
