He and Trovon are closer than I had thought. He said it's his "brother". Man, That would be awesome to have both of these guys on the LSU squad. I feel good about it. Keep us posted, Bhelm.:thumb:
If we get both of those guys, its just icing, because this class is already pretty impressive in a down year for talent.
Man, I'd say Reed and Seastrunk are a little more than icing. Lache Seastrunk's caliber of talent comes around about once every 3 or 4 years.....maybe longer if you equate the type of kid he is coupled with his work ethic. He's very special. That's jmho.
I agree with what your saying, I think my point is its never sure thing with guys like this and I dont like to get my hopes up. I hope we get him just as much as anyone, his talent is amazing.
Yeah, screw icing. Getting Lache and Trovon is more like the surprise brand new Corvette sitting out in the driveway on your 16th birthday......and having your girlfriend and her two hot friends waiting for you naked in the back seat.
On Rivals radio this morning, their recruiting expert said that Reed was 98% going to give LSU a commit in the next month or so, and that he thought Seastrunk would follow his good friend to Baton Rouge. They talked about his family in Baton Rouge and also played up the "Lache Seastrunk University" quote. They also said Auburn was backing off of Seastrunk a bit because they realize he is leaning to LSU and focusing more on the kid from Little Rock. One quote was "All LSU is missing is the one five star recruit, but Seastrunk will take care of that" Let's hope for a good start to the season, and we may have them both by the Georgia game. :LSU231:
And then Lache makes comments like this that keep me hoping: SN100\'s No. 2 player, Seastrunk, still likes Auburn - Brian McLaughlin - The Recruitnik - Sporting News But Auburn and first-year coach Gene Chizik still have the edge. “What you see is what you get with Coach Chizik," Seastrunk told SN. "He’s a great guy, and he’s going to make sure you’re taken care of. He’s going to do everything he possibly can to be there for you. I feel like that’s my dad for the next three to four years. He’ll take care of me like my mom did. It’s the same connection. He would be doing the same stuff my mom has done for me to this point.”
Ahh the joys of following the whims of an 18 year old... It must stink having so much of your career hinge on the decision making abilities of a High School Senior....
